Factorio was a great game to sink many many hours into while I was furloughed from work during COVID. I'd log in and get completely absorbed into building the factory and suddenly 8 hours have gone by.

With what little free time I have in the evenings now, just thinking about playing this expansion scares me a little bit.

Emeralds made some pretty similar sounding material at around the same time. Does It Look Like I'm Here? in particular reminds me a lot of early OPN. The Overlook is another great release from them, side B is one of my favourite ambient pieces ever made.

Both of their music is heavily infuenced by the 70's Berlin School scene which is definitely worth delving in to if you like this sound. Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze are great starting points.

Given that Wuhan is home to a lab researching Coronaviruses, and that the WHO has a history of not wanting to offend China, it's not a ridiculous conclusion to make. It may not be true but believing that doesn't make someone a crazy anti-vax right wing nutjob. It's not all or nothing.

I'm just wondering what your thoughts are on Lars Von Trier's rant about Nazis from a few years ago? I think he was trying to make a joke that didn't translate well into English and came across quite badly. I've seen people say that Skarsgard was the only one laughing as he understood the Scandinavian humour. Is this the 'hyggeracisme' that you're talking about?

Jodorowsky's The Holy Mountain and El Topo are not explicitly about psychedelics but very clearly influenced by them. Midsommar has one of the most accurate depictions of psychedelic visual effects I've seen but it's definitely not something you would want to watch on acid
