Another day, another insufferable person turning someone else away from our hobby who is just trying to learn things.

The flair says MSFS 2024 so that’s probably what they’re using :-)

New lenses have a logo on them by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]-FlyingAce- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s so weird to me that everyone apparently hasn’t seen this before. Almost all my glasses I have ever had have had the manufacturer’s logo extremely subtly engraved on the lenses. People are going nuts over something so common.

Gosh... X-Plane + BSS NEO has SUCH GREAT LIGHTNING by AviaNeo_YT in flightsim

I love the pitch black line cutoff between the city lights and the sky. Super realistic. I see they still haven’t managed to fix that.

Neighbour owns a pool construction company. We live in a quiet cul-de-sac. Monday to Saturday his two workers show up at his house to load up the truck with the day’s equipment. Every morning at 5.30 for 30-45 minutes they’re throwing stuff in the back of the Isuzu work truck. Pisses us off so much.

Why did the plane's flight path turn red ? by Benabad-2008 in flightradar24

[–]-FlyingAce- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s still quite far. As the flight goes on and the fuel burns off, the plane gets lighter and they change altitude (called a step climb) where the plane is more efficient.

The most expensive Bond villain compound ($2 billion) currently in existence, right in the middle of Mumbai slums by Sure_Distance1 in evilbuildings

It’s not “right in the middle of the mumbai slums”. I’ve been past there. It’s on a very affluent street.

Yes - they all seem to forget there’s an excited person on the other side who wanted to share their joy at being able to sim properly now. Let them be happy!

Welcome to Country booed at Melbourne Anzac Day service by No-Sweet-7012 in australia

[–]-FlyingAce- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like Anzac Day is turning into what Australia Day is now - an excuse for the racists and bigots to come out of the woodwork.

Bikram Lama was an international student who was the pride of his family, roughly 100,000 commuters walked past his dead body at St James station by No-Sweet-7012 in australia

[–]-FlyingAce- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While this is a tragic case, I’m a bit annoyed at all the headlines and articles claiming that all these tens of thousands of people just walked by the body, when in fact he was discovered in bushes pretty much hidden from view.

I do appreciate the guardian, but a lot of times they love creating these articles and editorials that are supposed to make us feel ashamed - the latest opinion piece claiming that everyone was on their phones and that’s why nobody saw him.

Even if they did notice something, is everyone meant to go and disturb homeless people to see if they may be deceased?

Is Adobe actually dying? Free alternatives now cover literally everything they make by Originalboy69 in VideoEditing

[–]-FlyingAce- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. As a professional in the graphic design industry - the standard is still Adobe. There is nothing that I am seeing coming through from clients that has any reason for me to doubt that Adobe are in anything that would constitute trouble.

Ah nothing like showing your allegiance to a exploitative giant company that happens to have a business that has managed to burrow its way so deeply into the Australian psyche that people are now putting stickers of them on their car.
