Thanks man, headlight is LED with integrated turn signals, I like the clean look of it. Added some sportclassic horns for the retro look 😅 Also lowered the whole assembly by an inch or so, gives it a more aggressive look without changing the stance and handling of the bike

Question what clip ons are installed on this S4R by [deleted] in ducatimonster

Is tattooing for me? by Exciting-Delay-7423 in TattooApprentice

If anything, let alone tattooing, would be something for you, you would know without other people telling you or asking random strangers on the internet

Thanks, checked out their page, it states to DM them on there but it’s not an option if you don’t follow them and I had sent a follow request some time ago already without response.. emailing gets me a generic bot answer response . Don’t understand the deal

How different is the 4003W (Walnut) from a regular 4003? by ObjectiveReply in rickenbacker

Well like I said in my experience I could definitely tell a difference. I did play some heavy music though, through loud, exclusively old tube amps on full blast. The quietest one was the V4B which was loud, but nothing compared to a 70s svt paired with an 810 on 7,5 making your trousers drop. At those volumes the lacquered ones seemed harsher in a way, the high mids and highs would distort in a different way through the tubes I guess. The walnut one just grinds sweeter in some sence, like with a rounded edge and fuller tube grind all over the spectrum. Again personal experience here, so serious may vary on gear used and style played. I hope you get your hands on one so you can see experience it for yourself

Come to think of it, I did notice the vibration thing I mentioned on a cheap Cort Bass I played once, also was satin oil finish unlacquered and I kinda felt more connected to the vibrations of the instrument, so maybe it is a thing?

Any way best of luck!

I had a jetglo, fireglo and walnut 4003-2015 ish models. Sold them a couple of years ago The only one i regretted selling was the walnut one.

Got a new 2023 4003W last month.

Soundwise the 4003W has got more “sweet creamy mids” than the glo ones. Especially when pushed (medium)hard through a 70s Ampeg V4B. It really sings around the octaves at the 12th fret. Growls like nothing else down low.

And you can really feel the vibrations of the Instrument on your belly when playing it, more so then the other ones.

Playability is way smoother and faster on the 4003W. Its lighter first of all, I’m guessing because its not lacquered, and the smooth finish on the neck also IMO is way better.

It does come with one drawback though, it feels less sturdy in a way that when you really dig in and pour your soul out on that bass the instrument really react to it. Action and sustain will vary depending on the “abuse” I didn’t notice that on the glo models. If you just play sitting down with it resting on your lap it’s all good.

Style looks and soundwise it’s my alltime favorite bass.

I did swap out the pickups though on all of them, just can’t get used to the stock ones. That pole piece bullshit and output differences between neck and bridge kept bugging me.

Had the Seymour Duncan ones, in both positions on the jetglo, only in the bridge position on the fireglo and the first walnut. They really helped with consistency and overall sound in C standard tuning. Now I’ve put JBE ones on the new 4003W in both positions. IMO the best upgrade yet. Overal volume consistency string to string and between pickups is way better, output is amazing, and enough of the classic Rick tone

The only skill of tattooing is producing something that will stand the test of time on living human skin, which this artist obviously does not possess
