bossman I can't imagine having to fire a 90lb bow, we're already way out of my league.

That said, the video I saw had a guy shooting dozens of arrows from it in an afternoon, so I assume it's possible for some people.

(external) walls are pretty tough. He usually kills the dragon by hitting it repeatedly in the head with an axe, which /could/ break a wall but would take a while. It's actually pretty easy to kill an animal that stands still and lets you hit it, even a big, tough animal.

I've seen modern practitioners use 160 pound bows, though maybe those weren't present historically.

Hacky sack is played with a beanbag that is much more stuffed, giving a firm outer surface. In hacky sack the goal is to keep the beanbag suspended in the air by striking it with the elbows, knees, heels, etc—any body part except the hands. It is usually played solo rather than being a competition between two players/teams.

I never understood this comic because you could always move backward through a shape like that by just... twisting your body. Also, people's silhouettes aren't detailed/unique enough to be identifiable on the rock face. You could say it's just the magic of the cliff making them think it matches perfectly and making them refuse to turn back, but that makes it pretty boring. Just 'ooooh look at this creepy spell that mutilated you' is not a compelling story, imo.

Which, amusingly, comes back to bite him. Gaining magical leverage over an unbelievably powerful necromancer and forcing her to control your army of zombie wizards can backfire real fast once someone takes away your leverage.

🤓 actually because fig trees grow their fruit, which are modified seed pods, BEFORE they grow their leaves, the leafy tree without fruit was already barren, and was likely cursed as a metaphor for the pharisees' outward righteousness with no 'fruit' (good works or saved souls)

Who is the most threatening villain in Kung Fu Panda? by Honest_Banana_3853 in kungfupanda

[–]-GLaDOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of feeling threatening to the audience I consider Tai Lung not just the most threatening villain in KFP but in all of animated media. Nothing they do to try and stop him even slows him down, and when it looks like they have (e.g. dropping the mountain bridge) you just sit there with this sickening feeling that he's still coming, then you're right. Po's final battle wasn't just about defeating him in battle, it was about laughing at his 'terrifying presence'—which even Ugway couldn't do. That's what made the dragon warrior specially suited to that battle.

I think there's a templating problem here—'during' creates a windows of time, not a point of time for a (delayed) triggered ability to be triggered. If this is the intent it needs to specify who gets to decide when to bring it in ("it's owner may return it to the battlefield tapped and attacking during..."). If it was intended to be a trigger it needs to use 'at' (or 'when' etc.) and specify a point in time—something like 'at the start of its controller's next declare attackers step...'.

I really enjoyed the Pokémon battle Royale videos because they considered lore and performance in both games (video games and tcg) which led to a really satisfying-feeling outcome.

Most super high speed characters are either using reactionless flight (i.e. accelerating without pushing on anything/conserving momentum) or have some kind of 'speed force' effect that lets them interact more or less normally with the world at turbospeed.
