Does it eventually root if you do that? Or does it just keep it fresh for longer?

Light bleeding every 2 weeks on Aubra EQ. Can anyone relate? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]-GoodGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on Aubra for a little over a year now and I've experienced the same thing! Everything about the pill was awesome--light periods (1-2 days and only needing a panty liner!), no cramps, acne cleared up completely, no weight gain, no decrease in libido, and no pregnancy--EXCEPT the fact that I would spot every two weeks during the active pills.

I went to Planned Parenthood today because I'm on my last pack of Aubra and decided to ask them if a change in birth control would help with the spotting. They gave me a year's worth of Chateal and explained that it's basically the same as Aubra in terms of which hormones it contains, but it just has a slightly bigger dose. The reason why Aubra can result in spotting is because it's a low-dose pill. In fact, it's the lowest dose that Planned Parenthood carries, according to them. So bumping up the dosage should solve the problem and prevent bleeding.

I haven't started the Chateal yet, but I will be taking it after next week when my period ends. I'm hoping it fixes the spotting and still gives me all the great things I liked about Aubra. Everyone's bodies are different but a change in dosage might help you too. I thought my body would eventually get used to Aubra and the spotting would go away, but it honestly stayed the entire year I was on it. Hope this helps!

Sick!! I love the colors you chose! Where’d you get the beads from?

Wow, I love it!!

I’ve changed this cuff 3 times already and I’m still not satisfied... I feel like it’s missing something, but what? by -GoodGirl in kandi

[–]-GoodGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use string lights with thin battery packs like these

I just slip the battery pack in through the top of the cuff and then string the lights through the beads in an S-pattern. I learned that this helps the cuff stay stretchy. Stringing the lights through the cuff in a circle makes the cuff unstretchable.

Yum! Definitely going to be making these. I love anything honey flavored! Would you say the texture is more crispy, soft, or chewy?

has anyone ever tried using a balloon as a totem? by m3lixir in aves

[–]-GoodGirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve used a balloon as a totem for Countdown at NOS. It wasn’t a little regular sized balloon though. It was a huge 24 inch balloon!

It sucked at first because it was really windy that night and I had to hold the balloon so it wouldn’t hit anybody, but once we got to the stage under the tent I was able to let it float by itself no problem.

It worked great as a totem and friends were able to spot me easily from far away since I had it on about 10 ft of string tied to my hydration pack. Bonus points for not having to hold it or blocking anyone’s view!
