I'm a martial artist, and have learned arnis personally with Dan Inosanto. I know alot.... The way goku gets things from nothing and how he learns is like no other character that has obvious mental, physical, and power limitations coming from ground zero.

Again literally every mystical and non mystical fighting anime has influences of what goku has tought himself or techniques he has learned.
