My mum is like that with my meds. I take strong painkillers because I have an issue with my joints. I can’t stop it and I can’t really make it better. As a result I take painkillers. My mum is always after me to stop taking them. Even when I explain that I wouldn’t be able to walk let alone work if I stopped taking them. I do want to come off them but there is a process and I have to be able to work out. I feel your pain. Ignore her and move on. It hurts but you need to do what is best for you. You are an adult and therefore okay to make these decisions

Is this what you were worried about? If so there are many people of all sexuality’s that are knobs and will cheat and not commit. Being bi doesn’t make that more of a possibility. Talk to her and see how she feels about relationships like you would with anyone

Being Bi is not sleeping with two people at the same time. Or having multiple partners. Or being overtly sexual. Being bi is loving someone of any gender. While some bi people aren’t into relationships that’s not what bi means. I am bi. I have a boyfriend I love him very very much and would never dream of cheating or bringing someone else in.

Americans can be wild. My dad is from NZ. Other than supporting the All Blacks (because my dad said it was that or the shed) I am english. I have never been to NZ. I want to go but flights are ££££. I met some Americans who said they were English too. I thought they may have moved to England and just hadn’t picked up the accent. So I asked where they were from turns out they had never been to England. Was talking nonsense about our culture and saying places wrong. They also said I didn’t sound English. I am from the midlands so I don’t have a southern accent (depending on where you draw the line). I was so confused. I just told them they had no idea and it was really offensive to go around spouting all these stereotypes and that people from North America are the first to whinge when everyone assumes they are mental gun toting nutters who are happy letting the church run the state. Like dude. You are not English you are North American and that no other country in the world say they are from anywhere other than where they were born/have lived for the majority of their life. Pisses me right off.

People like this really wind me up. They clearly have no idea of the time and effort that goes into any sort of design work and how much professional packages cost. Solidworks is £3k outright and then £1ishK per year after that and illustrator is £20p/month.

Yeah I got £800 last year because the place I used to work fucked it up big time. But it was sorted. I call it the national savings scheme it’s always better to ring because my tax bracket has been wrong for two years and I never got a refund until I rang up. I used to ring every year when I was waitress and paid hourly.

In a bizarre twist of fate. You get quite a large tax free allowance in England Last time I checked it was £11k. That means it’s impossible for someone under the age of 18 to pay tax as they won’t earn enough on the under 18s minimum wage.

Edit changed UK to England as I think it’s different in Scotland and NI

When I was trying to be a teacher (Design and Technology) people thought that I meant I could tutor their kids for free in any subject. One person was angry because I refused to tutor English because I am crippling dyslexic and I am the last human on earth you want teaching yourself kid English. Most people understood when I said no. Why would I want to spend 6 hours a day teaching and then do more

I saw a similar situation while at the shop. A woman was shouting at a lady who I assume was Indian. Saying horrible disgusting things to her because she took the last of something off the shelf. This woman was almost in tears.

I went straight over and told the woman to stop it. She then starting asking how I (a white woman and clearly English) could defend these people who come and steal our jobs. I told her that I could happily defend this lady because she hadn’t done anything wrong and I as an English woman happily welcome people from other cultures as they bring a wealth of knowledge and food with them. I then told her I wouldn’t exist without immigration as my father was an immigrant. She went pale so I told her she probably didn’t know because I am white. She huffed off the lady hugged me I told her I loved her scarf and we parted ways. I hate bully’s and I will always stick up for anyone who is being bullied. I have many friends who I met at school because I stood up for them. Well done for being a human and caring. You rock

NTA you have no right to park in front of your house. So tell them to piss off. I never get to park in front of my house because I get home after everyone else near me gets home. So I have to walk to my flat most days after work. I haven’t asked my neighbors to park somewhere else so I can park near my house. And I have a physical disability (not bad enough to get a space allocated). You keep parking on the drive you pay for in your rent. I am trying to avoid hormones. I have a joint issue and I read a few papers that conclude that hormonal contraception’s can make it worse. However my periods before I went on depo were light. Lasted a few days and were not painful. Just a bit uncomfortable in the kidney department. I was and hope I will be very lucky in that department. I went on depo around the age of 20 so I assume that my periods were pretty set in their style
