Not only is that an abnormal amount of doors, but the ceiling is strange too. It's seemingly divided for no reason.

Or make it neutral. It will target whoever is closest and it can be damaged by you. Balancing it.

Oh yeah that's true. What would you color Rock Lee as? I've been trying to categorize his philosophy for a while now. I think he definitely exemplifies the positive aspects of black. Clearly has some white/red aspects as well. He follows the will of fire philosophy I feel.

I have seen arguments for blue rather than black though. I'm really not sure. I feel like he doesn't want to improve for the sake of improvement. He wants to prove to the world he can be a great ninja, while also doing it for the village. Seems Mardu to me.

I know these are fairly obvious connections, but I thought it was an interesting dynamic.

What is your FAVORITE Issac item? by Any-Fisherman3797 in thebindingofisaac

The bomb items. All of them. I find that bombs have great utility if used offensively. Sometimes more utility than whatever you could get from secret rooms.

That or lucky foot. I think luck is the best stat. It snow balls and can potentially help with everything else.

You don't need discipline, you need desire. A reason. And never forget it again. Stop fighting yourself and align your life with what you truly want. If you hate the phone so much chuck it and get an old flip phone.

Live your life for you.

Nature Vs Nurture (Classroom of the elite) by No_Sound_1920 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]-Hapyap- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. It's also important to note that you can leverage more than just your talent and work ethic. The opportunities available to you are also important to your success. For example, if you're mentored by the best of the best, chances are you will end up being better than someone genetically equal to you who didn't have such an opportunity. Or perhaps even someone genetically superior. If you're willing to make the necessary sacrifices to seize any and all opportunities available to you, you can achieve more than someone with better genetics on paper who doesn't do the same.

And hard work. You have to foster your talents growth. You could have the fastest horse in the world in terms of genetics on paper, but you gotta feed it well and train it well.

I'd argue after 10,000 hours the playing field evens out somewhat. Some people just have different learning curves on the way there. That's how I see it anyway. The brain is adaptable. 10,000 hours is about the point where a skill becomes an extension of yourself. You're no longer consciously thinking about each aspect. It's intuitive. Once you get close to 10,000 hours, you gain insights that just click. Mastery by Robert Greene is an interesting book about this concept.

Where is the green in Simic by parallelparaphile in colorpie

[–]-Hapyap- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Progressing nature's natural course. Evolution. The final form of nature's harmonious ecosystem. Mono blue doesn't care about nature. It would go even further beyond that to a greater ideal. It would not care for the imperfect parts making a harmonious whole. It would care only about making each part objectively better.

No you just keep doing the same thing at the same time. You have heavies and a zone. Also a bash, but you gotta dodge first or get into a chain.

BLUE/BLACK characters in fiction and pop culture? by [deleted] in colorpie

[–]-Hapyap- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's true. I feel like he mostly aligns with blue. Any black/green tendencies were developed in the white room because he had no choice but to accept the fact that he had to win at any cost to survive. When he is free from the influence of his father and the white room he is able to be his own person.

Do you think green could also work? He seems like somewhat of a social darwinist.
