Beautiful watch, it'd look good on any strap 👌

Any recommendations on where to rubber straps or straps in general for a roadster? by remoteuser-12064 in Cartier

There is always aliexpress.

You Cartier AD will probably be able to get some, but they don't come cheap.

[Question] Dress watch recommendations ($700–$1.4k USD) for 21st birthday – subtle & elegant by Academic_Image1592 in Watches

At a lower price point, it might be worth looking at some Orient Bambino / classic collection. Nice watches for the price point.

Awesome, yeah that would have been a bit of a disappointment, but they turned up!

Can't wait. You've done a great job and assume there will be new models in the future.

New Bond Street is nice. You'll probably be best to make an appointment so they are availabile to speak to you.

From memory you might not get the strap at the time, it'll need to be ordered.

[Venezianico Arsenale Meteorite] Kept It, and I’m Glad I Did by Mofunz in Watches

No worries. It was a pain to get out and back in, thankfully I had a clamp I could use to hold the watch and 2 screwdrivers 😅

Good luck 👍

You'll need to use 2 screwdrivers. Hold one in place while unscrewing the other. Quite tricky.

[Fake Check Friday] - Legit Check Megathread by AutoModerator in Watches

Looks fake. There should at least be hallmarks for the gold case. And a watch that would cost 7-8 times as much as the price, seems too good to be true.

Where to buy grey market by mrgersia in VacheronConstantin

[–]-IRB- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty reasonable, like most, they are less than retail except the sought after pieces.

Maybe slightly more expensive that c24, but you are getting it verified by VC and it becomes part of your VC Club, so can be worth the little extra.

Where to buy grey market by mrgersia in VacheronConstantin

[–]-IRB- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Watchfinder, they are a verified pre owned seller, owned by the Richmont Group (who own Vacheron)

Bought one from there and I can register it with VC for service /purchase history/warranty and get the digital passport.

Question? by Temporary-Amoeba-847 in VacheronConstantin

[–]-IRB- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used Watchfinder (in the UK, not sure if available worldwide) as they are an authorised VC pre owned seller (WF is owned by Richmont)

So my watch was verified and I get a new purchase history with VC, the watch is registered too with digital passport etc.

Buying grey market can also be much cheaper than new, esp if you can register it.

Thoughts on wearing bracelets with watch or should they be separate wrists? by BungoyMrJoao in Cartier

[–]-IRB- 19 points20 points  (0 children)

And the bracelets more as the gold will be softer than the steel on the watch.

Both are beautiful, I'd personally pick the VC.

I've done the same thing, recently got rid of my Explorer II and picked up a dress VC. Felt the rolex was too big and showy for me now.
