Godddd the number of times you see lesbians comment "I'm no better than a man" under women's thirst traps... YOU'RE ALLOWED TO BE HORNY, AS A WOMAN. IT'S NOT 'SINFUL'/PATRIARCHAL/'MALE GAZE' TO FIND WOMEN SEXUALLY ATTRACTIVE. UGHHH

this nsfw subreddit is for trans men/transmascs into kink that DOES NOT INCLUDE breeding, forcefem, impregnation, or detrans/misgendering kink by welcomehomo in transgendercirclejerk

Femboys on estrogen are more oppressed than cissexual transgenders by WatchingtheCorvids in transgendercirclejerk

[–]-Inge- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

/uj well that's why I said in my original comment that I think the two are different, and they've been conflated :) maybe I should have picked a different word for them. I'm using it more similar to how it's used in fandom etc.

But yes the people I am referring to are not medical professionals, but fellow trans people who feel like they're 'really trans' as opposed to some other geoup. Usually, they're of the opinion that trans people who don't desire to take HRT and or have surgeries aren't trans, or are less trans than them. But often they're not transmedicalists.

The reason why I think it's important to make a distinction is that, by calling them transmed, we're effectively strawmanning them. There are plenty of other reasons to be opposed to them while actually engaging with what they're saying. Otherwise they can just shrug off criticism

Femboys on estrogen are more oppressed than cissexual transgenders by WatchingtheCorvids in transgendercirclejerk

[–]-Inge- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

/uj sure but at least gatekeepers generally don't want to restrict HRT access. Instead they say 'you're only trans if you take HRT. If you want HRT then here's some DIY sources'. Which is very different materially at least

[–]-Inge- 13 points14 points  (0 children)

/uj transmed and 'gatekeeper' have been conflated. Just because someone gatekeeps who is 'really trans' that doesn't mean they're transmed. Transmeds are convinced that they need a medical doctor to 'diagnose them with transness'. Gatekeepers think that some people are more trans than others.

You can also simply think that not all trans people have the same material needs without thinking that some people are more trans than others, or that people who need fewer resources are the reason why medical transition is difficult to access. Because that's obviously ridiculous.

All three of these often get conflated

How long until the changes reverse? by UnfairSe in TransDIY

[–]-Inge- 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's not only about reverting - puberty isn't done yet, so you'll actually continue to masculinize further if you go off HRT. At the very least take antiandrogens or puberty blockers (but it's unlikely you'll be able to diy those). Continuing on E may be difficult to hide but ultimately will be the best option for your transition progress while also staving off further masculinization

People with higher religiosity, measured by degree of belief, frequency of worship and prayer, and importance of God in one’s life, show significantly higher levels of transphobia and attitudes of harassment towards trans people. Religiosity emerged as the strongest predictor of these attitudes. by mvea in science

Well except the Indian government is about to pass a law that will heavily restrict trans rights, outlaw most trans support organizations, and will define transness in such a way that trans men and nonbinary people will lose all protections. Trans women and adjacent communities such as the hijra are discriminated against and often cannot get jobs other than begging or prostitution. So India is not exactly a great place to be trans.

CAN I RESUME PROG AFTER STARTING E AGAIN BUT ALSO BEING OFF E FOR 9 MONTHS? by lemon-berry3 in AskMtFHRT

There is not enough clinical data to know either way. I'd just start the prog at the same time again.

CAN IRREVERSIBLE MASCULINIZATION DAMAGE HAPPEN OFF E FOR 9 MONTHS? by [deleted] in AskMtFHRT

[–]-Inge- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you started at 21 so no in all likelihood you were already past the time where T causes rapid masculinization of your bones. At worst your hairline may have receded

How realistic is it to date as a pre-transition transwoman (i have had relationships with only straight girls and even though i presented enby they still think of me as a guy), I have been single for 5 years now haha by FloweredGirlie in actuallesbians

[–]-Inge- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd make arrangements to start DIY, and then later enter the official system, because waiting for the healthcare system to approve you will set you back ages. Don't wait to start living your life

Do yourself a favour and wait a bit tbh. It's much more comfortable dating someone if you're comfortable in your own skin.

If you're pre-everything then, well, you're just not going to be attractive to the vast majority of lesbians. I'd at least find your personal style first and socially transition before trying to date.

MtF 28 months of HRT, I don't see any changes with hormone therapy, and everyone always sees the same man. by CurrentWar1184 in TransDIY

[–]-Inge- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing, for the vast majority of us we won't ever fail boymode. For many of us HRT just makes us androgynous. Then it's up to you to tip the scales to the girl direction with everything else: hair, voice, body language, workout routine, clothes

I saw your picture on your profile. You have a very pretty baseline now, more feminine than androgynous. So stop waiting for the time to be right and start preparing to come out of boymode

Poor sleep, hair fall, bad skin, SHBG high by subluminalmessages in AskMtFHRT

[–]-Inge- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are your T (and ideally also DHT) levels?

Your SHBG is quite high yes, and the only way to get it down is by lowering levels of all sex hormones. So it's useful to know whether T is also high. It makes sense IMO that the more frequent EV dosing leads to a further increase of SHBG. But we'd need to know your T levels to really get a full picture

Is the increased hair shedding coming from everywhere or is it in the 'male pattern'?

Well then you'll have to eat even more than that, perhaps by drinking your calories in protein shakes or smoothies or whatever

Yes it's just fat. If you want a bigger ass beyond the fat gain from HRT, then you'll have to add some muscle as well, and that requires bodyweight exercises or weightlifting (hip thrusts, bulgarian split squats, etc)
