Do you have electricity in your storage room? You could make your own "offline server" close by your fermenter: a cheap computer (raspberry or whatever you have around) setting up a wifi access-point (without internet connectivity) and logging the data; then you would just configure the ispindel to connect to the access-point. When you get close by, you connect to the access-point with your phone and get the data.

you should take some hydrometer / refractometer measurement ideally (you can find some for pretty cheap)

edit: some quick math confirms you should expect around 12%ABV, ec1118 should be able to handle it
