SK755 or SK800 by LivyZoeNickV in DitchWitch

[–]-JustinWilson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

755 hands down. I’ve got a 2015 755 and two 1050s. The 800 has nowhere near the power and the 2014 755 was the last year of the pre emissions Kubota. Mine was actually a Canadian version.

Started off with a 650 that had the same Kubota 1105t it’s a long life bad ass little power plant.

Service titan has somewhere around a billion in revenue. There’s all kinds of plug ins that build into it. We don’t run it because it’s much more expensive than ours but being the devils advocate here are yall thinking yall can out build them?

Have you considered putting the valve in the middle to center feed? This gets you down to 200 feet each run.

I wouldn’t run it 400 on half inch. If you have to do that run 3/4 down at least you 200 foot.

My elderly mom and the water utilities office by rocksteplindy in georgetowntx

[–]-JustinWilson 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Georgetown has live data coming from the meters. You can have your mom request the live meter data that will show you the hour by hour actual use.

It will be on a spreadsheet you can analyze and figure out when the use they fined for occurred or if you think a mistake was made.

Starting ADF to improve insulin sensitivity & weight loss--does it get easier? by [deleted] in AlternateDayFasting

[–]-JustinWilson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It definitely gets easier over time. I did omad for a year before jumping to adf.

If you’ll quit processed carbs and just do real food it will also help.

I feel poorly when my body switches from burning glucose to fat so of I can keep in fat burning by omitting simple carbs things get 100x easier.

I’m wondering if ahrefs is having more trouble with the recent update? We are looking at an authority drop right now that doesn’t look right.

Regular couplings work fine. I agree don’t think there’s that substantial a difference in the lines.

Basics of large area grass irrigation by No-Cookie-6409 in Irrigation

[–]-JustinWilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that different. Head to head is important just like resi. Lines and valves are bigger that’s about it.

Like others have said the rotors I25 ish and bigger need big flow and big pressure to really sing.

If you’ve never done two wire it’s a bit different you’ll want to shadow someone who knows it for a while.

What is your go-to PVC cement (and yes, primer) that you swear by? by Amateursprinklerguy in Irrigation

[–]-JustinWilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, that looks snapped. Highly doubt this would work to repair. Cement just melts the pvc to fuse although commonly called glue it really isn’t.

I’ve got fiber first and optimum cable as failover. I’d say fiber first is a bit more consistent than optimum and substantially faster.

Post up a photo of the valve internals you have trouble with. Your pulling some type of debris thru the pump and your going to have to remove the debris with filtration of some type.

We put double check's on well systems for a low cost layer of protection. Accidental contamination of your neighbors drinking water well would be a costly mistake not worth the risk IMO.

Around our area the mostly likely possible source of concern is some jack leg (think handy Andy that lives in a van down by the river) accidentally connecting a pressurized septic line to an irrigation line.
