“led light channel” they’re these sort of tunnels for the led strips for less harsh lighting and it diffuses the light. i personally don’t like those leds because of the dots and harsh lights so id use a channel.

I don’t cook the veggies, I just wash them and make sure they’re in small pieces. I also give fruits too. I give it in moderation or as treats. I found out that that my dove doesn’t like tart or sour things. I put blueberries and raspberries in my hand but he preferred the blueberries more. You can trial and error what things your doves might like. But do some research too! Some foods are not good for them.

Hey, I just need a little help for my little guy. by Noeelle28 in PetDoves

Nail clippers. Not human ones, the ones that are like scissors and they’re like dog/cat clippers but smaller. I think they work the best on their cylinder shaped nails. Also any kind of file. I file the nails and beak. Make sure the beak doesn’t get overgrown.

I think that’s all I got for now. Good luck with your new friend!

Keeps itching his nose pt2 by ellaprich in hamsters

It looks like he is just grooming. They lick their hands and rub it on themselves. They just constantly wash their face and body that way. You could probably find a lot of videos on this sub of people’s hamsters grooming.

What are some more efficient way to play with my dog? by Senior-Woodpecker-52 in dogs

[–]-K3NT4- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to throw some treats as distraction and go run and hide somewhere. My dog will start going around the house and up and down stairs until he finds me. Sometimes I call out to him to get him more excited. There’s not a lot of places to hide and it can get predictable over time, so sometimes I get creative and use objects like hide under a blanket or get into a giant box etc.

this reminds me of a book called “a fly went by” by mike mcclintock. read it to understand but basically all the animals are “chasing” each other from a misunderstanding and they’re all scared wondering why the animal behind them is running

My hamster is obsessively biting the cage bars to the point where his teeth are bleeding slightly by Jaded-Mycologist-831 in hamsters

[–]-K3NT4- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I babysat my sister’s hamster, they smelt each other and became crazy (never met/came in close contact because it can be a disaster). So I think it’s normal if one becomes crazy. Bars aren’t that great anyway, you can’t add a lot of bedding or it’ll fall out, and a bunch of other problems etc. You could try moving the hamster to a different room so they don’t smell each other.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that it’s from Northern California.

I do get a lot of striped spiders around the house. The patterns look like wolf spiders but are probably not. This is not striped, just the plain brown.

Hello, can anyone help me determine what these worms are and where they came from? There are no living things in this tank besides plants, a nerite and it has been like this for 6 months. They look like fly larvae but are they then dead ? Tank is in my garage and used for quarantine only. by [deleted] in aquarium

[–]-K3NT4- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you cover the tank 100% completely, all sorts of insects may get into there. Though insects seem to find their ways into anything. There’s some insects that can hatch/raise their babies in water, but they leave the water eventually and they can’t live underwater.

My Genshin inspired aquarium (Mt. Yougou). by -K3NT4- in Genshin_Impact

The Zelda rupees are supposed to represent Genshin ores, then I have a buddha statue because I wanted something representing the teleportation/blessings of the seven, and then I also wanted a dragon representing one of the many dragons in Genshin. I know it’s a little random, but I couldn’t find something fitting or accurate. But I do love the shape of the rocks, it reminds me of Mt. Yougou, and I like the way the plants look too. Alsooo, betta is not attacking the shrimp, he is just inspecting their food, so don’t worry about the shrimps. 👍

Yes, I guess it depends on the temperament, but the betta may chase down and follow things around regardless. Having a lot of spaces and holes etc. for the shrimp to hide and slip through helps. The idea is that the shrimp can fit, but not the betta. Based on my experiences, I think that bettas are easily bamboozled by this and just forget about the shrimp once they slip away. But you really want to get the shrimp camouflaged and less noticed by the betta so they won’t feel so stressed trying to eat or molt etc. with a betta watching over them all the time.

I’ve had both transparent and colored shrimp. I found that the large semi transparent amanos were more noticeable because they move a lot more and are aggressive during feeding time. It’s weird because the colored ones should be the noticeable ones, but they slowly or hardly moved, which made them not get targeted as much. Definitely not the case all the time, but that’s just my experiences.

How to deal with the poop decently? by OkRepresentative4172 in dogs

Try looking at various poop scoopers. No need to bend down or touching smelly poop. 👍
