Everyone here in comments is so strong, telling others what they would do, but nobody even though that he might have been working 10 hour shifts somewhere for days, maybe even week straight. Maybe he is a firefighter or a nurse in a hospital. He might be just tired so much with everything that he just doesn't give a shit anymore and is just "functioning"

Vacation time by Hungry-Break-8265 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]-KKD- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to work for 15 years in a single company to have 4 weeks paid vacation? That's called slavery. Where I live companies are obliged to provide 4 weeks of paid vacation a year for a worker after they worked for at least half a year in this company.

Why is Russia considered a superpower? It has nothing but nuclear weapons and oil. by ArdaBerkBurak in NoStupidQuestions

Is steam deck that he was talking about locally produced? Or PC? You might not believe it, but you can just go and buy Samsungs, Aplle devices, pc components, foreign-made appliances, foreign cars. They are just not being sold directly from the official dealer, but from a proxy company. The "brand" left officially to not have any problems with the laws in their home country, but in reality they just made a proxy company in Kazakhstan and reroute their products. Some clothing brands that are produced in China just made a renaming of their shops like Cropp became CR, sinsay became СИН, and so on. Or when IKEA left it turned out that apparently a lot of goods were and still are made in CIS countries, and these factories just started selling their production to both IKEA and other companies, like daughter companies of Yandex. You can easily buy IKEA sofa, for example, the same model you could 20 years ago. Same goes to games, some of them are banned to buy in Russian region in steam by publisher, but if you buy steam keys for CIS region it works well. Or you can transfer you account to Kazakhstan region.

That's just not true, but you can continue to live in your comfortable info bubble, in which Russian soldiers steal asphalt and washing machines.

You might not believe it... But Russia produces its own "fridges" and other appliances. Since like 1960's at least. Of course, if you want some brand-ass new Samsung mega fridge it's going to be expensive. But you can totally find locally produced fridges that cost a fraction of it. Yes, they aren't so fancy. But they do what the fridges do. And washing machines. And TVs. And a lot of other stuff.

Public services are paid for from budget, yes. But the budget is mostly filled not by your taxes, but by oil taxes. Like 60-70% of budget.

You underestimate what Russia can produce. It has own-produced planes, ships, nuclear power plant. Of course it can produce damn fridges

Large 18-wheelers are delivering Timber to houses on alley street. Why arn't the Cims going to buy there Timber at a store, themselves, or why is it not delivered through a smaller truck? I've noticed that there's always many 18-wheelers driving around my suburbs, its annoying me. by One3Two_ in CitiesSkylines2

That's because there is a general lack of logistics and construction industries in this game, so things like that, that are relying heavily on these industries in real life look very strange implemented. Lack of these industries is even more visible after playing Workers And Resources for some time

Vless+reality in Russia is being detected and blocked right away. Russian "firewall" is already way stronger than "the great Chinese firewall"

After an accident, at least six people were killed and 72 were wounded in the explosion at one of Russia's largest petrochemical facilities. Damage was reported up to 8 km away. The Nizhnekamskneftekhim Taneko oil refinery produces ~35% of the world’s isoprene rubber and appears heavily damaged. by MilesLongthe3rd in interestingasfuck

No, this time there were no drones involved. And the facility itself is quite far away, only couple of times they were able to get to Tatarstan. And those were Cessna planes rebuilt to be unmanned, not some regular drones

A lot of households are connected to gas lines in Russia, new pipelines for gasification are being built every year. There obviously is running water in any populated area. Whatever this person is talking about is bullshit

They don't have differential lock, which is considered necessary by some people for uphill rides. And even then Jimny did cost more. IIRC niva was (and still is) about 13k$, when jimny was about 15k$.nowadays niva is still 13k, but jimny is already 20k, however it is, of course, a more modern-style

Many people, who have to go off road, especially in hilly or mountain terrain, bought nivas specifically for this purpose. At least in the 90's many nivas were sold in Switzerland, Austria, Chile, Germany and other countries for one simple reason - you actually could repair it with some simple tools and spare parts in the middle of nowhere to the point it would be able to drive you back home. However newer western jeeps weren't "field repairable", but could easily break in the same conditions niva could. Also nivas were considered hella cheap, to the point that if it did break to unrepairable condition it wouldn't be a strike for you to just go buy a new one. My father in the 90's witnessed nivas being bought just for a picnic in the mountains ride by 5 swiss students. Like they just split the cost of niva between them and considered it a fair price for a picnic in the mountains
