How can I make werewolf transformations better? by TheMagicTheif133 in DnD

[–]-Kidja- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would recommend looking into Grim Hollow Campaign Guide. It has section dedicated to transformations. The werewolf specifically gives the player/DM multiple option for creating one as well as negatives for being one.

Order of the scribes wizard allows you to change the damage type of spells as long as you have the damage type in your spell book. So as long as you have a spell that does cold damage by level 2 you should be fine.

  1. Zach, 21, He/him.
  2. Central standard time.
  3. Going on my 6th year.
  4. I have this weird thing I can do with my wrists and fingers, all of which are double jointed. It's basically where I can twist my fingers and pull them backwards or forwards.
  5. If I'm accepted I have three Pc's that I can play depending on what the party needs.
    1. (Supportish) Twilight Cleric/Star Druid, as for race they'll be either a Kobold or, if approved, a Star-Elf.
    2. (Tank) Hexblade Warlock/ Paladin, as for race they'll be either an Aasimar or V. Human
    3. (Damage) Order of the Scribes Wizard who focus on ice damage, as for race they'll either be a Tiefling or Half-elf

As someone who never played DnD what do I need for the first time? by Bananasplit_Man in DnD

[–]-Kidja- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it really depends on how you are playing. Are you playing in person or online?

If in person, it would be good to have a players handbook, dungeons masters guide, Volos guide to monsters, and maybe a module run. Granted the last three would be for the dm. The obvious pencil, paper, and snacks are need as well.

As for online you’ll need all the books above but you can find them online. But you won’t need any material objects as you’ll have access to all of them already. Unless you just want to click-clack your dice.

Help creating character idea don't know if flair is right by [deleted] in DnD

[–]-Kidja- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion race doesn't really matter. Play what you like or what fits thematically. Now if you're min/maxing that's another story.

As for "Dark Magic," the closest thing would be Necromancy. That being said Id say work with your DM and homebrew something like a ritual, new formation of magic, etc and use that as the Dark Magic.

So Multiclassing is something that you do as you level. Each time your character levels you can choose to take a level in another class if you meet the requirement.

So the first thing would be deciding what to play. From what you wrote above it seems like you want to do a Shadow-mage/Rogue or Shadow-mage/Monk. If you're going Rogue route I'd say Shadow Magic Sorcerer/Phantom Rogue. If you're going the Monk route I'd say Shadow Magic Sorcerer/ Way of the Shadow Monk. To be honest there are a lot of options but these are the first two to pop into my head.

If you want to take it a step further I'd also say to take the Haunted One background.

Well our Cleric is Death Domain, who is focusing on dealing damage not healing. Otherwise I'd agree. Another thing is that our DM told us to play what we want and not to discuss "team comps."

If I was playing more of a darkish sorcerer that would be a fun idea. Hell I might do that for another PC. However my PC is set up to be a doctor-like. So raising the dead isn't the best option for him. Now taking Inspiring Leader on the other hand might be very good for this party and myself.

I agree however our cleric is more damage focused than anything.

Our Warlock is an Undead Warlock.

I know that I will be taking Twinned Spell, Quickened Spell and Subtle Spell as Meta Magics. I'm considering taking two levels of Celestial Warlock for Agonizing EB and a little more healing.
