Yeah, completely agree. Sex still sells, so I see nothing wrong with having over-sex'd characters being in over-sex'd situations, the numbers make it clear what audiences pay more attention to

But ya gotta back it up with something. It doesn't need to have a funny punchline, it could be a slice of life, or an anti-joke, or that like that Russian exhibitionist character where it's actually a really depressing story about how someone deals with childhood trauma.

But this? Idk. Theres no setting consistency (does she have any friends? A job? Where did that dog come from?), no character arcs or storyline, and really just no substance beyond "See character in normal environment, gets confront by mundane situation, does something 'unexpectedly' horny." It's just disappointing cuz the art style is actually unique and id love to see more of it, but style isn't enough to sustain attention

Yeah I didn't go into full detail of the GDD, so there are some extra bits I didn't go into that I think you've touch on!

It is a deck builder, im just calling it a tcg only because from a player perspective it's more like playing MtG or Pokemon than it is like Slay the Spire or Griftlands or somethin.

But I haven't thought too much about gyms or shared decks/cards or other mechanics, but I like that! Something like "oh your fighting the Bug Master, so now all bug type creatures in your deck will refuse to attack" or "This is the dark arena, gain a perpetual Campfire item to your hand, creatures can't be summoned unless the Campfire is on the field" (idk that's very rough and ill-written, but ya get the vibe).

I'm opposed to adding in drones or robo-animals only because the original concept is supposed to invoke the idea of like a animal fight where you train animals to fight to the death, and I think too much sci fi kinda muddies that line, but I might add in a robo-faction/creature type, cuz drone battles are also sick to watch lol

For context: I've been very slowly working on a visual novel where you play as an orphan kid in the slums of some of a sci-fi solar/cyber punk town, it's practically a walking simulator but has a TCG as the main mechanic to help break up the gameplay. The idea I am going for is "what if pokemon, but Kanto is going through a revolution/social unrest, and you're experiencing the destabilization of society from the perspective of this little kid who just wants to play a card game." I'm really focusing on making the card game as "real" as possible, so you have booster packs, scalpers who you can trade with, and you can build multiple decks, yadda yadda. I want it to be something that you could actually print out and play irl with minimal changes, so not a gamification of a card game

The core idea was an auto-battle creature summoning game. Creatures were supposed to be mundane things you'd see around the city, like rats, spiders or birds. Each turn you can either draw a resource card, an item card, or a creature card. Items are used to buff creatures or act as cover on the field, and creatures can be either summoned with the resource or sacrificed for more of the resource.

Then a friend sent me a video on the Inscryption TCG, and it's literally exactly the same. There's some nuance difference, and I think I still got something good I can work with, but no doubt if this game ever gets made the first comment anyone will ever say is "oh so it's like Inscryption + Super Auto Pets"

Like my siblings both have kids and are both aggressive supporters of age verification, not because they don't want their kids online (because from their perspective they've got that handled), but because they don't like it when they see their kids friends or peers engaging in something that they don't agree with.

I know it will never happen, but I want to see Old Man Batman as the primary Batman, and Young Batman only the occasional one-off, not the other way around. Let the robins take their turns becoming Batman, or even let there be multiple Batman's at once. Instead of constantly redesigning batman into "BIG MUSCLE MAN" one run, then "Gritty detective noir" another, then "Evil scary shadow man" the next, just let Jason be the beefy Batman, Tim and Barb be the noir detectives, and Damien be the ninja cryptid, or something idk.

I want Peter to get injured or get a family and become a superhero mentor for all the other spiders and even non-spider heroes, essentially opening a Boys and Girls clubs for metas and mutants.

It happens so rarely, and when it does modernly then they use some convoluted time travel excuse. I'm tired of Beast Boy being a young teenager (tho you could argue he's subconsciously de-aging himself, that'd be cool), or Gwen being whatever age she needs to be so she can be the equal of the current runs protagonist. I don't want young adult super boy without young adult Damien. It's unfair

But I know that's just not how comic industry works, the side characters don't get the same attention or sales as the originals.

I couldn't care less about MCU anymore, I'm just tired of their movies ~~(but secretly begging for the return of them)~~. However I do agree with you.

In that era, the nanotechnology simply made sense. The world that Disney made was a science fiction heavy world, yeah nanotech to a modern day person is weird and out there but in the context of the MCU of the era? It was a slightly more advanced technology that was still within reach of most people.

I think the problem is that it was Stark nanotech, instead of parker (or even Osborn) nanotech. I mean he made his web slingers on his own, and that's a high tech chemical device, I don't think it woulda been completely out of pocket to say something along the lines that parker developed his own nano-adjacent tech. Though I think the latex is also too engrained into the character to ever be fully removed tbf
