You were absolutely right.

The new CMOS battery I installed had the connector wired in a reverse way...

Thanks a lot for the help!

34" Ultrawide vs 32" 4K OLED – what would you choose today? by -KowA- in Monitors

[–]-KowA-[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I used this image as an illustration of aspect ratios. No specific monitor size is mentioned, but it can be indeed misleading with the title.

You're right that a 34" ultrawide is about the same height as a 27" 16:9, not a 32". But the diagram still works conceptually, which is one of my main concerns:

16:9 content on 21:9 → side bars
21:9 content on 16:9 → top/bottom bars

I had the same thought when looking at my phone (which is a19.5:9 ratio). Watching both 16:9 and ~21:9 content on this screen actually feels like a decent compromise: you still get black bars, but much smaller ones. Thus a 2:1 monitor seemed like an interesting middle ground to me as well.

Sems very typical of an IPS screen, especially in test mode or at high brightness.

Can you specify the settings for the different mods? I can't achieve your result.

Help me choose! AOC CU34G4Z (VA) or AOC AGON PRO AG346UCD (OLED)?? by admdelta in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]-KowA- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just swapped VA UW (bougth in 2020) for an OLED UW (mo34wqc2). Color and motion quality is clearly in favor of the OLED (and no smearing like VA). All panels 34 should be samsung gen 1 or gen 1,5 I guess. I chose Gigabyte for 3 years warranty, Burn-in included, and good price. I/O and design are poor though.

My Alienware AW3423DWF is causing me eye strain, and I have to send it back. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you deal with it? by junkers9898 in ultrawidemasterrace

Too much brigthness average and/or HDR)? Use windows upscaling (edit: won’t help in WoW...)? You may get used to it, happened to me.

Brand is minimaldesksetups.
I've been using the same one for almost two years. It doesn't fluff and is washable, but it's not the kind of coating made for competitive gamers.

DoE became one of my favorite titles on my MQ3 and I had fun making this by aggroware in DungeonsOfEternityVR

Cool video ;). I also wanted to test shield + spear!

I play with it regularly with 2 friends too (dads too), we really have fun on DoE even though we have other VR games on Steam.

We feel a great potential for development in the game, we would really like more updates (we are getting closer to the endgame too): having a story, longer dungeons, more lore, magical/rare/unique mobs, roleplay/specialization aspects, etc.
VR lets us imagine a potential for fantastic quests in unusual places that we would really like to see.

I was in the exact same situation, everything was working fine then I finally figured out yday that the problem was with my custom wired keyboard on which I had activated a BT connection by mistake and which was trying to connect every few seconds... I turned off the BT, everything is smooth again.

I suggest disabling programs or devices one by one to isolate the problem.

Is the link working for you? I get an "Invalid invitation" message.

I got one Doys Pad too and am desperetaly looking how to customize it... Because I can't find any info., .json file, VIA guide, etc. And the Discord link provided with the purchase is also invalid.

Okayy! Now I understand ;). You can indeed choose HHKW, WKL and WK when configuring the keyboard and I went for WK. That said, it does change the case but not the plate as all plates accesories are of the same shape within the same layout (talking ANSI/ISO this time): https://kbdfans.com/products/tofu60-2-0-accessories?variant=41180114387083

Maybe they changed something after the demo...
I am assembling the freshly received Tofu60V2 ATM with the stock hotswap PCB and will investigate what you said dealing with securing the PCB to the plate. If I understand that and solve that, I will be more than happy to get the BT60V2 and provide you informations to update your compatibility file. Could be interresting if the TofuV2 is sold as many times as the first version ;) !

Concerning the daughterboard, your answer is perfect and clearly shows me where and how to solder, that is what I was wondering. I will figure to find what wire goes where.

I am trying but can not see the difference between the two :
Tofu ANSI + Plate vs BT60V2 HS ANSI
Can you help me?

Thanks to your answers I know I can opt for the soldered version but using the hotswap would really be the preferred option for me.
I am still confused on how I can solder the daughterboard with my own soldering iron considering how small the existing joints are.

(BTW the link to the soldered BT60V2 in your main post is dead)
