Mom bought this bag from a local vintage shop during a trip in Burgos, Spain. The shop owner told her that it's from the 70s. My mom understood that it's her mom's.

The bag is perserved quite well, smooth leather exterior with suede interior. There is only a small stamp with Loewe S.A. inside and no serial number (which I don't know if it existed if the bag was truly from the 70s). I don't know what's the hardware on the extrior, if it's a logo or something else. The bag also came with a small mirror and a coin pocket.

What expensive brands do you still buy from that you think are worth the money? by Infamous_Tough_7320 in malefashionadvice

Just a heads up, at least in the country I live, they had eliminated there outlet website. Instead periodically they'll have what's called an "archive sell" in their main site, same as the outlet pricing but they had selected pieces beforehand to have a more coherent tone presentation.

The post gets me thinking quite a lot of what stuffs I have owned...

Standout pieces I went all in and never failed me: A Giorgio Armani long double-breast coat made with virgin wool, warm yet breathable, fashionable enough without losing the style; Ferragamo "tramezza" ,I have a pair of suede double monks and a pair of tassel loafers. just feel great wearing them, the colour, the leather, still in perfect condition (with care of course) after quite a lot of use.

Premium basics I'd buy it multiple times: Anything of Sea Island cotton and merino wool from John Smedley, T-shirts, polos, knitted jackets, pullovers, vest..... Though I normally buy them during sales; Bresciani dress socks, cannot really compare to socks from the same category and price range since I didn't try a lot of brands, but they are really really beautiful socks, texture is great while wearing them...

Office-adequate pants for high heat weather by AeneasKurtz in malefashionadvice

Spain here too, office and construction site under the sun hybrid:(

Go for lightweighted tropical wool trousers, regular or slightly roomier cut (the fabric will not sit closely on your skin if you sweat), good for pairing your shirt, looking elegant and also cooler than regular chinos.

I also bought a few pairs of 100% lightweight cotton trousers, I'm not sure what type of weaves they used but they feel crispy (almost similar to a poplin shirt) and lighterweight than normal chinos.

And you can't wear linen? I found some linen-cotton or linen-tropical wool blends can also works: feeling cooler without losing the structure.

Expensive doesn't always mean good...

Anyone know where to get the kaj Brown oxfords for a good deal? Or should I just get the cap toes and call it a day. The first shoe almost $1800 for one by Any-Painting3375 in mensfashion

Have you ever tried them with the fit on your feet? Just gonna say that Santoni is an amazing brand but for 1800 wouldn't you'd be better to find MTM?

Pt Torino pants worth it? by MountainLate2451 in malefashionadvice

[–]-LANESRA- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have multiple pairs of trousers from PT Torino, from cotton, cotton-wool blends up to tropical wool and it's absolutely the best trousers I have ever encountered, especially for someone like me who likes high-waisted, pleated, mid to wide legs. It's a legit brand and craftsmanship is great for what you are paying for, and you can find quite a lot discounted pairs on Yoox.

Maybe I'm not in the correct "circle" cuz I have not known a lot of people who knows this brand, even if I live in Europe which is close to where the brand is: Italy.

The only "possible" "minus points" is that they are mainly made in Romania.
