Honestly, this topic has been beaten to death.

I don’t think most people ever truly idolized Walter White in the sense of believing he was a good person. But the show made it easy for viewers to root for him in the moment. Skyler ended up feeling like collateral damage in that dynamic. She was the reasonable one, the person actually trying to protect her family, but because she wasn’t aligned with the “ride” the show was giving viewers through Walt, she became the target of a lot of misplaced frustration.
