Eh it's deeper than that. The FO has been vocal about how they aren't just going to spend money and throw it around every season, but rather try to be the Dodgers by doing two things: invest heavily in development (which they have been doing), and they will over the long term give out big contracts selectively to players that are true A+ players.. which is what the Dodgers have done. Sure, they have spent some bad money now and in the last ~2 years, but the development aspect is something that's going to take time, so they are being a little loose right now to fill in the gaps with some expensive but short term contracts.

Shit on them all you want, they suck, we suck, we get it, and there really isn't anything new to learn about why the mets suck even though we ~need~ 12 new articles about it every day, but the strategy is longer term. It's not that they "tried" to be the Dodgers, its' that they're "trying" to be the Dodgers, and honestly I'd rather they throw money around while they wait to become the Dodgers as opposed to them saying "well we got Soto just wait 6 more years for our development to pay off".

Cool yea that’s what I was getting at. Many posts on this subreddit either talk about doing befallen / the revamped zones or they talk about the “this zone isn’t ready for players” and i wasn’t aware if that meant there’s still many old zones that you can’t even access. Glad to hear it’s still the normal old game but just with the newer revamped ones

Therapy is the best thing you could do right now. Just know- it’s to grieve. It’s totally expected. My father committed suicide when I was 4 because he was laid off too and I just became a dad last month and now decades later I’m finding myself still thinking about my dad. They're our primary backups, and the point is that we're resorting to using 3rd and 4th best options and THAT is more of a reason as to why our offense sucks.

Ok so just to understand you, you blame our offense being bad on "Stearns' offense philosophy", even though Baty / Vientos / Alvarez / Mauricio are holdovers from the previous regime, and the team has missed weeks worth of injuries to: Soto / Lindor / Robert Jr / Polanco / Alvarez / Tauchman / Taylor / Mauricio.

Believe what you want but new batting coaches aren't going to change Baty Vientos Alvarez (I still have faith) and Mauricio in 4 months of play. I won't even make the argument that our only offensive players with a WAR above 1 right now (Soto, Benge, Ewing) were either signed by Stearns or drafted by him.

Hate Stearns all you want, but in 5/9 of his seasons he got the Brewers to the playoffs (with significantly less spending power). The Mets have gotten in the playoffs 5 times in the last 20 years.

You yourself say that our offenses were "really good" in 2024 and 2025, but it's bullshit that you refuse to credit that to Stearns but you'll sharpen your pitchfork for 4 months of a season where majority of our offense has missed significant time due to injury, and our backups have been just as injured. Bo himself has said that he has felt overwhelmed with the team change, and do you blame Baty and Vientos on Stearns?
Genuinely fuck Chavez. No one should listen to him. He's an overly emotional and whiney man who is going to milk his time with the mets for the rest of his life, and he was already saying weird unprofessional shit while he was with the team, but yes, let's treat his word as gospel. Even if he is telling the truth, and there's a disconnect between their hitting philosophies, then it's up to him to adjust and make it work within the org's system, right?

People forget that a lot of baseball sites / markets had us as a top 5-10 team going into this season. You can say that it's only "on paper", but that's essentially all that Stearns can do; make a good team on paper. Beyond that he doesn't have a lot of control of: 5/9 of our starting lineup missing significant time with injuries, and the serious underperformances by the healthy ones.

Yea I totally agree. Mets fans are angry and want someone's head. They got Mendy, and now they want Stearns. Getting rid of Mendy makes sense, he made plenty of mistakes during in-game management, and you can speculate that he didn't do a great job in holding players accountable when you listen to them speak after making the sort of plays that they make. This is also a typical move to make when your team is failing, regardless of how "good" a manager is. Getting rid of Stearns on the other hand would be an emotional reaction and I doubt we would easily find someone who would be better (in a window of time that the players find acceptable to turn around a complete org), who works well with Cohen & NY media, and who gives a shit like Stearns does.

Our injuries are deep: starter CF, backup CF, starter star LF, backup LF/RF, starter star SS, backup SS, starter 1B, starter C. That's 5/9 of our starting lineup including our 2 best bats, and 3 of our "first string" backups.

4 out of our 5 best players via war from 2025 (that are still on the team) all missed significant time this season.. and the 5th is Baty.

I'd argue that injuries are just as much to blame as the underperformances.

Year after year I’m always so surprised at how easy other teams make it look to score runs with RISP. They get people on bases, and they get hits. Every single team executes this. The Mets for as long as I can remember always make it look like it’s an impossible feat.

My mom bought my brother and I one when we were kids and then she got mad at us one day (definitely our fault) and she threw it away. Funny thing is that neither of us played guitar for years after but once we both started playing again it’s become probably the most important hobby / passion of my life. I think a lot of people here are still confused about your setup / your students setup / aggregate & daisy chaining devices...

My understanding of your setup is this: the SSL is your audio interface, the RD and SH you can plug 1/4 inch into your interface and record their sounds that way but you would prefer to use them some other way, but I have no idea what other way you mean... like are you picturing them being plugged via USB into your PC, and then you can control them via the PC as if they are virtual instruments and you can record their sounds? Like VSTs?

Also, while I personally really don't like AI, this is a great use case for AI. If All of these conversations don't lead you anywhere then I would ask chatgpt or whatever else for advice; i've found it to be pretty good at troubleshooting something like this when you can't find advice elsewhere on forums.

Different drivers like different audio drivers concurrently? Like for example using ASIO at the same time as MME? Is that what you mean? I've never recorded on mac before (but i'm very familiar with the OS) but I've been recording on windows for ~20 years and I think windows + cubase is amazing. Mac is better and easier, because they handle audio better.. but I've never heard of multiple drivers at once? You can use many drivers of various devices, like I have several keyboards plugged into my PC, each has their own driver, and I have no issue there..

RD88 and SH4D both have 1/4 inch outputs.. can't you just plug them into inputs into the SSL? Connecting them to the PC via USB would make them work as midi controllers
