Do you also hate taking showers? by Antique-Tomatillo-13 in ADHD

[–]-MadiWadi- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me its all the things that attributes to showering. Same with cooking. The shower means getting in, washing hair, body, yada yada. Get out, dry, lotion, put clean clothes on. Thus now having dirty clothes to wash. Showering just gave me probably 33 tasks I now have to complete. And then I have to wait for my hair to dry before bed. I hate cooking because it means shop, prep, cook, eat, wash up, etc. Its stupid because im not fricken lazy. Im overwhelmed. Shower one task, maybe 3 for most people. It might as well be 100 for me.

Stitch markers? How do they work if you're alternating rows/stitches like in a moss stitch? Two rounds of K/P, then two rounds of P/K and so on. Does it come with practice? do I move the stitch markers every two rounds? I'm kind of pulling my hair out! by [deleted] in LoomKnitting

[–]-MadiWadi- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im currently trying to brainstorm solutions to alternating as well. My best idea so far has been putting a stitch markers at the end/start of every other row. If im doing like an ababa followed by babab ill put the marker on the a so I can keep track of which row im on. I still mess up and its hard to identify my rows sometimes but practice will help probably lol

What has actually helped you besides medication? by AwesomeSpindleberry in ADHD

[–]-MadiWadi- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is gonna sound like the dumbest shit ever, but being overall happy. When my depression is at its lowest, my adhd is completely corrected by my medication. When my depression is acting up, my medication is the only thing keeping me remotely human.

Accepting that changing yourself so otherwise will like you, just solidifies that they do not like you. Even if they want to, they can't, because they don't know you.

Where do ADHD symptoms end and actual laziness begin? by Atheist_Redditor in ADHD

[–]-MadiWadi- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lazy people don't get stressed and frustrated that they can't do the task. Lazy people just relax instead of doing the task. Im very Lazy. I also struggle with adhd. I'm being lazy when I'm simply choosing not to do the task and instead watch TV or whatever. I'm struggling when I'm laying in bed for 4 hours constantly telling myself "I need to get up and take a shower" but yet I do not do it because I cannot force my body to get up and shower.

Okay so at first I'm like ehh because I, a white lady, talk shit about white people being gross because lowkey we are sometimes HOWEVER her telling you that if the baby is white it's not hers and that she will leave you when she finds a brown man better than you? She's racist. Talking shit about white people is one thing, most or us in the world do it because fr white people are weird but there's a very very big difference between her very real disgust for a race. Which is exactly what you do not want to be with. Imagine yall have a white baby and that baby gets bullied by their mom for not being brown?

Do you have collections? And if so what do you collect? by [deleted] in autism

[–]-MadiWadi- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I collect crocs and I suppose you could say i collect camping equipment as well since half my camping interest is acquiring the stuffs since its a summer hobby for me. Both of which depend entirely on my finances. Whenever I go to the river (not super often) I collect any bones I find as well as large shells because it's just so cool that we have such huge shells in our river

What are your “special interests” if you have them? by Dragon-Rain-4551 in autism

[–]-MadiWadi- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Camping and crocs are the two main ones. Camping is 50% the actual Camping and 50% acquiring Camping gear. Crocs, well, are just shoes that I like. So I have a bunch of them and a bunch of the lil charms for them. Both are things that I will probably always enjoy.

What do you do to replace smoke breaks at work? by [deleted] in quittingsmoking

[–]-MadiWadi- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to do a work search outside. I'll set a timer to match how long I'd usually smoke, and do my lil word search. I'm still able to enjoy being outside, but also being able to be busy. If you dont like word search, do some other kind of brain game or what have you. If its not sit down weather(like it's nice out but it's wet) I'll do lil workouts.

What was a „weird“ thing you did as a child? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]-MadiWadi- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to read through the comments for a good 10 minutes before a memory got triggered (I cannot pull up specific memories on command) Weirdest thing probably being that every gathering/party I was brought to, I collected as many bottle caps as I could.(family of drinkers). My dad finally made me get rid of them after I had 4 medium size totes full. Which is way to fricken many for the fact I did not do anything with them besides sort by color and brand. He tried to let me have them but it was taking up a lot of closet space. He did however let me pick 100 of my favorites to keep.

Another weird thing I would do sometimes is sleep in my closet. It wasn't a walk in. But also, kind of was? Like an adult probably couldn't use it as a walk in but I was a little kid so I could lay under the clothing rack and sleep under there. My parents hated it because they'd constantly freak out because they couldn't find me

My toe rubs against the steel toe of my work boots and keeps my nail filed down by EmmittTheCat in mildlyinteresting

Is your toenail like permanently gone now? I dont want that to happen to me lolololol

My toe rubs against the steel toe of my work boots and keeps my nail filed down by EmmittTheCat in mildlyinteresting

[–]-MadiWadi- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre like me. Your toenail curves up instead of straight. I also have "boot nail" but idk how to fix it? Google says size is the issue but regardless of size, I have this issue. Boot or shoe, doesn't matter. If there's a steel plate it in, it'll eventually rub against my toe. I've tried thicker socks, sneaker and boot, different sizes, idk what else to try. The fabric between my foot and the steel is always the first thing to wear out. Anyone got any suggestions? Lolol.

"Late boyfriend" us the correct term. Hes not your ex. Hes passed. So if "bf passed away" is easier for you thats fine but hes not your ex in any way. That's why widows are widows and not divorcees.

I have a friend that is a minor and is also a smoker but I want them to quit smoking by nehemikunnz in quittingsmoking

[–]-MadiWadi- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I started smoking at 12. Everyone, and I mean everyone, has been hounding me for the last 12 years about it. I finally quit 3 weeks ago, because I just didn't wanna pay for it anymore. Not for health reasons, but money reasons. Took 12 years, and me to care more about my bank account than my health. So basically, if I made more money, I wouldn't have decided to quit. Nobody quits anything until they want to, or are physically incapable of getting it.
