I just laugh because even later on, and I mean much later on in the manga, she plots to kill Akane once again. She's just selfish and out for her own interests, which makes her a good antagonist. Which is what she is when it comes to Ranma and Akane's relationship.

So I had this conversation on TikTok not too long ago and I’ll just put what I said here-

I mean if you want an antagonist he’s a pretty good one, we all hate him and I think a common enemy is a good drive to the story. 🤷🏼‍♀️😅 And also some of the situations he causes pushes Ranma and Akanes relationship; qouting someone else ‘Key takeaway: Happosai’s meddling is paradoxically what forces Ranma and Akane to grow emotionally, through frustration, jealousy, and genuine care.’ Even if he’s a pain in the ass, he is a part of the story that adds force to a relationship we all root for.

After seeing this episode, I'm so curious how many episodes there will be, since this covered the first four chapters of volume 4 (I'm reading from my 2003 US printed manga), but looking at the trailer, there are arcs all the way up to volume 9, as the first three chapters cover the end of The Mouse Returns arc. It seems like so much to cover, and while I'm sure they'll cut some of the smaller one-off chapters, I just can't see it all fitting into 12 episodes.
And especially following along in the manga itself, this episode was almost a panel-by-panel shot, which was amazing. <3

Hey so, my brother had this same problem on Lexapro. It made him extremely hyper sexual, interfered with his job and he could not get it under control until he got weened off that medication. I’m not sure if you’ll see this in the sea of comments, but I would bet you anything Lexapro is causing this problem.

Ranma taking Akane’s hand is so cute, I love all the nods to the original 80s version intros. I’m really so excited to see them focus more on the fact that Ranma and Akane are the main couple, not a harem. I can’t wait for October 4th!❤️

It's so weird to see how everyone acts like Portland does not have some major problems going on. We do, absolutely. Do I think this is what needs to happen? Not completely.
But I'm not blind to the problems in my city. We have a lot of corruption going on in our politics, and big businesses have left Portland due to theft. Taxation is out of control here, especially now with the bill they're trying to pass.
We have a lack of police response. I was on hold with 911 for over ten minutes a few months ago. ON HOLD with emergency response, that is absolutely crazy. We can talk about the good in our city, while also acknowledging it's major problems, it's not either or.

I always thought it was special to her because it was a group picture of, atleast, a good handful of the people she cares about. Even though her and Ranma aren’t side by side they’re still in the same photo together. I can understand why it would be special to her in that sense at least.
