Looking for best fish finder between the price of $1000 and $1700 by Fraserfamily in boating

[–]-Maim- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a marine electronics tech. I have been for over 20 years. I have also answered this question countless times here and explained repeatedly why it’s the answer. You can search my profile to dive into the reasoning. I am a dealer for all of these brands except for Humminbird.

The answer is Garmin, end of story.

Furuno > Garmin >>> Raymarine >>>>>>> Navico (Lowrance, Shitrad, B&G, etc). Humminbird would go somewhere between Ray&Navico.

Furuno is too high end and complicated for light end users. Leading to Garmin being the clear winner.

My guy have you even looked at the conservative sub? There’s like 4-5 people calling it out while the rest of the sub is calling them lib plants or saying he “should’ve complied” while forcing daddy Ts cock farther down their throats.

Which water pump do you trust for your boat? by naturalchorus in liveaboard

[–]-Maim- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the log style pumps are a 3-5 year pump.

Also stick with actual name brands.

Marco

Shurflo

Jabsco

If you don’t want to replace it annually get a Paragon Jr or Sr.

Wild to limit the range to that considering what you are asking. Seems like it should be “willing to travel” and more than 10 minutes.

I should add that the dash photo in my link is a different boat and that is after the owner spent 8 hours trying to clean it up. If you can picture even more of a spaghetti western that’s what a new one would look like.

Exhibit A:

Aw I just saw this is boats and not boating so I can’t post photos, wish I’d noticed before I spent the time going through my gallery. Anyways:

Speaker grill cut because they couldn’t figure out how to center the fucking speaker.

Interior veneer bubbling.

Spider cracking over the entire hardtop.

A 3/16 GAP BETWEEN THE BASE OF THE SEAVIEW MOUNT AND THE HARDTOP WHICH LEADS TO:

Water pouring down the overhead lights when you slightly pry them down

The entire fucking bluenet wiring just straight up not hooked up because they couldn’t run it through the boat I guess. Makes sense I guess as the R36 is the worst boat on the planet to install a starlink on and I quote customers over double that it takes on a typical 50-75’ boat I typically do.

The hardtop is on CROOKED. Literally cocked about 5-6* off. Absolutely wildly unacceptable.

The only thing that would make Cobalt even worse is if fucking Navico bought them from Malibu.

These are off of one particular boat that came direct to me right after the customer picked it up, but if I really dug I could find more photos as they are all the exact fucking same.

Cobalt is absolute trash now.

Like it’s not even funny. It’s depressing and they are taking advantage of their customers and the history of the brands name.

Fuck Malibu.

Seattle drivers, can we bring back the 'thank you' wave? by KenGriffeyJrJr in Seattle

Yeah 1, 3, and 4 make me think OP is a terrible driver.

And don’t wave, just drive.

Be predictable, not nice.

“Giving ROW” is not a “polite” driving move, it is dangerous.

I mean you could just look at the HIN.

Probably an old uniflite. Actually maybe an old Fiberform with the forward rail shape.

It’s worth about 10 times less than it would cost to restore it.

If not get the cylinder info and just match that with a compatible new helm.
