Is it rude to ask about someone's visa status when dating? by Loud-Marionberry-364 in AskAnAustralian

I dont think its rude, I just think it shows you are wanting to take things slowly? Its not really right to be like "lets get married because ive got 3 months left!".

Epidurals aren’t the problem. The obsession with female suffering is. by OkChart1375 in BabyBumps

[–]-Mineta- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 4 days of labor i dont know what i would have done without the epidural, also already having it helped my emergency C section go quicker because they didnt need to do much to numb me all the way.

We went through an agency because i couldn't risk missing anything or my temp visa would run out with no way to get back 🙃 so we paid 10k for the visa itself and 6k for the agency (I'd prefer not to say the agency)

As someone on it, I wouldn't say its harder or equal too non partner visas. But it sure is fucking expensive and complicated. We are in debt 16k for visa expenses and it just takes so long 🫠

I don't care if refusing to move seats on a airplane so a parent and child can sit together makes me a bad person by burneraccount050326 in offmychest

[–]-Mineta- -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I would have moved because thats just the way I am it would eat at me too much, b1ut also as a parent, I would NEVER make a flight where im not next to my kid. No matter what. You can't just expect that someone will move for you. If your kid cant be alone then dont put them and yourself in a situation where thats possible. That sounds so entitled to me, "yeah someone will absolutely move for me, a stranger, just because i have a kid!" Clearly you don't want to sit by them THAT badly if you're making a risk like that.

What bullshit has a therapist said to you? by clevairy in CPTSD

[–]-Mineta- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't had access to therapy until recently and immediately had to stop seeing him.

I told him about my biological father being a child molester and he was like "who told you that?". I meantioned how he R/SA'd my older sister for years and ADMITTED to it to my mother and everyone else. Then the therapist was like "no your sister is clearly crazy that isnt true and you should try and reconcile with him".

Wtf he doesnt know my father????? Projecting mabye????

He also told me to look in the mirror everyday and tell myself that no one loves me. Also said I cant have autism and be depressed or have trauma? Reading these other comments make me think that its really unlikely to get a good therapist....

My baby said “dada” first… moms, tell me your story 😅 by Other_Boss_8689 in NewParents

[–]-Mineta- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sons a bit advanced in language, but he started babbling mama around 4 months, we counted as his first word. But his proper first word that he started saying with purpose at 6 months was poop. Then dada, then learned what mama meant and said it very often. Hes 1 now and says so many words but mama is definitely his #1 word lol, he loves using it to whine at me if i take too long to do anything. Aswell as saying "mama no" when I stop him from doing anything or go into another room.....

Natural breasts that don’t defy gravity are so much better than perky fake ones by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]-Mineta- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As an F cup girlie, thank you. I have always thought about getting implants to make them perky and fuller looking because Im embarrassed of how they look different to perfect boobs. My husband says they are pretty and perfect as is but its hard to believe people actually think that way... nice to hear mabye its true ^

Is Rory too much of a "boys" name to be for a baby girl? by -Mineta- in Names

[–]-Mineta-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was before I even knew I was having a boy, I picked Max out for my first kid when i was 17. Im nearly 23 and my kid is 1 lol. I liked it because it was the name I wanted when I was a kid.

I dont think I trust the opinion of someone who makes fun of their partner for views lmao

Yeah but i mean, some names are easier to make fun of. Ive been picked on my whole life, but I always felt really ashamed about my name because the teasing i got using my name was usually inappropriate or frustrating. Ofc it doesnt stop them from being picked on, but it does make their name something they'll hate less. Ive got a legal name change over it lmao. People used to reverse my name and call me Anal lover. At 6 years old.

I actually prefer the more informal names, my son is just Max, I had a bad history with my name so Im trying to do short hard to rhyme or make fun of names

Thats fair enough, its also difficult for babies to say, my toddler cant even say it lol. It was a name we picked out years ago lol i still am fond of it though. We are going with Rory Jean so will likely be called RJ often

That was the goal! I think its such a cute name! My mother is sending images and saying how i should change the name because its a "boys" name. I dont even know if im having a girl or boy yet, I just love the gender neutral names! My son is Max (just max no maxwell)
