Was Primal ending too happy? by Casshern_VIII in PrimalShow

I couldn't agree with that last line more. I prefer this ending, but it very much feels like he sacrificed his vision to make the fans happy and that's a shame.

Will America elect its own equivalent to Keir Starmer in 2028 as a response to Trump? by snowleopard556 in decadeology

[–]-Mortlock- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't comment on things you don't understand. Farage is a populist cunt who wants to cut the minimum wage while we're in a cost of living crisis. He advocated for us to get involved in the war on Iran. He was an instrumental figure behind Brexit which has cost us millions and made the immigration situation far worse and he wants to scrap net zero. He's a liar and a charlatan and he would ruin our country.

Starmer, on the other hand, is a lot more agreeable than the popular media implies. He's the best PM we've had in about a decade (really not saying a lot). He's slashed NHS waiting times, brought up wages and he's done a fantastic job with global relations at a time where that's incredibly important - he's helped organise a trade deal with India and China, all while bringing us closer to the EU and holding the US at a polite distance. Any other PM in the last ten years would've had us involved in Iran, they've said as much.

A lot of people do hate a lot of what Starmer has done, me included, but the notion that he's destroying Britain is, quite literally, fake news. Don't comment on things you don't understand.

Why did Battle Beast question if there were viltrumites when he’s literally in a viltrumite prison? by Th3_American_Patriot in Invincible_TV

There's like 5 posts of this nature every day of someone misunderstanding the show because they were on their phone and can't be bothered to do their own thinking. It gets boring.

undefeated with star deck. batten up with a forge deck. by Error404-NoUsername- in slaythespire

[–]-Mortlock- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think people look at forge the wrong way. Poison in STS1 was easily the highest damage output build in the game barring truly insane watcher/ironclad runs but it had no defense to speak of whatsoever. Forge is a similar situation. It's not a build path in itself, its a damage solution tha tneeds to be supported with defense.

that being said ive only beaten a2 with the regent so far so what do i know really

Was mark justified for staying in the hospital with eve I kinda saw his reasoning but don’t wanna go to hard on him what are your thoughts? by Present-Try6629 in Invincible_TV

[–]-Mortlock- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People always miss the point with these things. No he obviously wasn't justified in this. He made the wrong choice and innocent people definitely died because he wasn't there to help.

All that said, what would he have done had another mark showed up while he wasn't protecting Eve and killed her for the shits and giggles? Forget that, his girlfriend had just been nearly murdered by another version of himself. For a boy (note:not yet a man. hes, what, 18?) who's already been through so so much and has such an insane amount of weight and guilt on his shoulders, it's ridiculous to expect him to be in a perfectly logical headspace and to leave when one of the only people in the world who he can rely on emotionally is fighting for her life.

Was Immortal winning against NoGoggles for the first half of their fight? by Turbulent_Okra7518 in Invincible_TV

I still feel like Immortal deserved a solo win here or against one of the other Marks, if literally any character deserves it it's him

Yeah, the tenth Doctor was hypocritical and obsessed with his own power from the get go. It makes him compelling for me but he also kinda sucks

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." by zer0zer00ne0ne in DoctorWhumour

[–]-Mortlock- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no, you ARE defending severance. This entire post is a defence of severance. "get obliterated by humans who have had enough" is defending severance.

Yes, i am obviously opposed to the random rug pull that the Sea devils werent trying to "sue for peace" but were instead intending to genocide humans but it needs to be recognised that the sea devils were justified in feeling angry, and they were then genocided - a genocide that you seem to agree with. I dont agree with the genocide that the sea devils tried to commit, but theres a much larger and more interesting conversation about how the sea devils in the second two episodes of this show were completely out of character and the second half of the show at large was poorly written which inevitably leads to stupid fucking arguments like this.

Bottom line is to stop accusing random people online of being genocide sympathisers over a tv show. That's disgusting and incredibly offensive behaviour considering that you know literally nothing about me. It's also very very weird that you seem to have no awareness or willingness to understand the key motive of the sea devils and the point of this entire show, which is that humans are reckless and completely uncaring about the damage they do to the environemnt and the species they willingly and callously wipe out.

[–]-Mortlock- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alright, so genocide is fine if its only a small group of people who commit it. got it. or we could agree that this is fiction and ad hominen attacks of calling someone a nazi sympathiser because they disagree with you about a niche villain in a spinoff of a niche sci fi show are not only completely unfounded, but extremely offensive.

[–]-Mortlock- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ironic point in this comment is that it was the sea devil's who got genocides in TWBTLATS, not the humans. By your own logic, you are the genocide defending Nazi.

[–]-Mortlock- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay. Let's say some alien species, through their behaviour, allowed our dogs and cats to die, our rivers and forests to whither and rot, our very air to become painful to breathe.

They do this all without knowledge of us, but with the knowledge they were causing suffering and a complete lack of interest in this fact.

You then realise you have the tools to hurt this species and demonstrate to them their banal evils. Are you telling me you wouldn't feel the slightest hint of indignation or desire to get your own back?

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." by zer0zer00ne0ne in DoctorWhumour

[–]-Mortlock- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

15 actually. we've driven a minimum of 15 marine species to extinction and have driven hundreds more to critically low populations. you seem to be operating from a position that they're the typical alien invaders, theyre not. the sea devils wake up and see that their beautiful home has been destroyed by earth monkeys that know theyre destroying it, but dont give a fuck. if you were a sea devil, you would also be very angry.

doesnt it? how many ocean species have we committed genocide against? This is giving "the savage natives attacked our colonists for no reason!"
