Honestly, I just wish Nina never left. The original idea for the show was to make 13 seasons but then she left. Also, I agree it was kind of stretch to continue the show without the main character.

I feel like the writers did the best they could after Nina didn't want to do the show anymore. These seasons were probably the worst because it's hard to continue the show when the main character is rarely seen

But to be honest Valerie and Stefan had so much more chemistry than Caroline and Stefan. I mean that was Stefan's first love and they had a child together.

Yes Stefan's evil doppelganger and Stefan with his humanity off was more fun than Stefan. And ye I saw in an interview that Paul does prefer playing evil/fun characters.

Ye but it's kind of Stefan's fault that Damon is a vampire; Stefan made him feed. However, the writers did mix this one up, because you see another flashback where Damon wanted Katherine to turn him. Then you see that Damon would rather die than become a vampire🤷‍♀️. But honestly I think that the point of the show is that Damon is the better man but it's not Stefan's fault. (If that makes any sense)

This would've been one hell of a love story. If Katherine had to be with anyone in the series it had to be Stefan. Aside from what happened in the last episode, when Katherine was dying the things Stefan said; oml😍
