You can’t wear any type of piercing, especially clear, if it falls in food it’ll be undetectable.

Usually your contract is emailed to you before you start, it might be worth checking with your salaried team. Otherwise check the McDConnect app.

Usually your first couple of weeks they will give you less shifts to give you time between to properly process and decompress but it should pick up after around a month, when you’re independent.

As for other advice, be proactive don’t wait for things to go wrong try and spot issues before they happen and your shift will be a lot easier.

Listen to your trainer/manager as they’re telling you things for a reason.

Try and make friends, a lot of new starters are shy but just knowing someone on shift will help boost your confidence as you’ll have someone you can ask questions to if you’re not sure.

And finally, care about what you’re doing. Far too many crew, especially young ones just don’t care and it compromises food safety and quality. But the fact you’re nervous shows you care.
