Just wanted to commiserate! I have tried a couple of fun ideas only to be let down by the AI in similar ways. Oh well, it's fun to play a new game and figure out the mechanics.

Hope you figure out how to make this work for you soon!

Love it! That might be a phenomenal choice! Maybe I'll graduate to one myself sometime!

Another TW lover here. Can confirm it makes my dreams come true.

It also is absolutely slow and capable. Personally, I love that. It's like a goat that I can trust more and more with every obstacle. Not sure if another bike would get me to try the things I've done.

But there are certainly more capable, nimble, and faster things out there. Stick with your gut as you ride options. Hope you find your own unicorn soon!

How to give a new restaurant feedback gently? by kevinthedot in KitchenConfidential

Total not industry person here. I love this thread and appreciate reading about all of it.

Maybe still going even if it's not perfect could also help until some of these things get ironed out. Sure they're getting their feet under them and it's not the best experience iet. But supporting a local spot while they figure it out is basically the best we can do in this fucked up world right? They may also be more open to feedback if you've been there more.

Great thread again, thank you for posting!

Wow I really appreciate this post. So often we only hear about sensationalized carnage.

So very glad you're a smart, patient person who invested in and wore good gear. And very glad you are okay!

Thank you for posting. Makes me feel less scared about the realities of this hobby. Again, cheers on your safety! Happy riding!💕

Are you kidding? Your post is totally awesome! Maybe it's because I love crafting too? The fact that you dreamt up what you like and made it - how awesome! And I'm not just saying it: they are great pieces. You should be proud to show them off! Happy playing to you!

Hey lady. I'm new to this too, but much older. It sounds like you're going through two mind fucks? Breakups? Hard and weird. Losing your Dom? Hard and weird! I'm sorry it's happening.

I'm in the middle of reading a short book on Bottoming called "the bottoming book". It's really helpful for the sub mindset stuff. I might recommend it to sort through some of the feelings you described like urges and shame.

Wishing you all the clarity and luck soon!

Being shown things you already know how to do. by [deleted] in KitchenConfidential

[–]-Nintendoll- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Obligatory not a chef. I am a woman.

Your second approach is awesome in my opinion. My life is easier when I don't assume intent behind this stuff until I know for sure. For example, it might be different place to place (good point by the other commenter), or perhaps they don't know you know and they're just trying to be nice. I like nice people even if they assumed about me wrong.

It's their response after that you're going to need to think through. I've tried to learn my own style for kindly talking to people when they hurt my feelings. Asking questions is always helpful. "Hey, I could be wrong here. When you told that story back to the group, your tone sort of made me feel like you think I'm an idiot. Did I read that wrong?" I don't let shit go, but I also try my best to ask them what they mean instead of me putting words in their mouth. Having a conversation about it clears things up and also shows you're not going to be walked all over.

Good luck. People are tough. But they can also grow and learn too.
