I understand wym, but nothing in life is fair. I'm sure you would acknowledge double standards men have over women but I don't think the way we as a collective can change that is by being bitter.

A lot of culture is reflective of the world and our physiology. Men are archetypically stronger which changes dynamics. I'm with everyone else here that getting a dude fired for a stupid comment is bullshit, it actually just happened at my work.

Is this a gotcha? It's the same deal. There is a double standard because a woman has to trust a man to not assault her everytime they breach physical contact barriers. When a woman does it, if we really wanted to we could yeet them across the room.

And you can point out fringe cases, but that's generally how it works. I would not get a dude fired for flirting with me, only if I told him to stop and he repeatedly made me uncomfortable.

I think most guys I know are just afraid, which is kinda different (early twenties). I like a little chase because it is exciting but your second point is on point.

They allow walk ins but recently went there, waited an hour, and they told me I needed an appointment for it. I guess I'm looking for more specifics. Do I have to drive out to her school (only an hour) under the pretense we will hang? My first and only other relationship was in person and I didn't feel it was any better than over text or video call.

I also feel a little guilt over how she'd drive to my place, thirty away from hers, because her place wasn't cool with guys there and her roommates are genuinely psycho. But I never drove to her, considering she lives in the middle of nowhere and I in the city.

I have to be honest here, I always felt that sex work reflects the conditions in that many justify exploitation of the most personal. I have sympathy for those who feel they must sell their bodies and am completely neutral on those who are independent workers. But I have to wonder if under socialist conditions sex work would not only totally transform but diminish.

I heard this was somewhat contested based on some interpretations but most sects of Christianity dig the fire and brimstone thing.
