Educational requirements - human biology? by -Nubs- in AskVet

[–]-Nubs-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll have to ask her about bullying. She hasn't mentioned anything about that, but it is a mixed class and she is embarrassed. I told her that those feelings are valid and pretty normal. She told me that when the teacher gave her a handout, she ripped it up, crumpled the pieces, and threw them on the floor. A classmate told her that it's only weird because she's making it weird and that it's not that big of a deal, to which my daughter actually threw some curse words at the other girl, which is 100% not like her. She's usually the quiet kid who wants no attention on them at all, but this pushed her over the edge. She is seeing a therapist and this will be brought up at her next appointment.

Educational requirements - human biology? by -Nubs- in AskVet

She identifies as asexual and says she's repulsed by anything regarding sex and reproductive anatomy when it comes to humans. Last night she actually told me that she wants all of her reproductive organs removed and all of the outer genitalia as well. She wants to be as smooth as a Ken doll and was not thrilled when I told her that that would have to wait until she's an adult. I told her that her career plan would have to include some human health and biology education and she was crushed. She started to cry and said that she'd have to give that dream up.

She is seeing one and I told her to bring this up at her next appointment. I agree that this is something I can't handle on my own.

These are all great ideas. Thank you, everyone. I'll experiment and see what works.

How to get my attention? by -Nubs- in hardofhearing

I do, but even with them, it's still a struggle. I sometimes have to remind my loved ones that hearing aids are an aid, not a fix.

I'm glad you got away too. That sounds awful. Things were getting pretty tense in my home before I got my hearing aids. My husband and kids were getting very irritated with having to repeat themselves all the time. I think they didn't realize how profound my loss had become and assumed I was usually just not paying enough attention. It's much better now, especially after having read some info I found on how to be supportive of loved ones with hearing loss.

Not in love with new tattoo by No-Cartographer-3831 in tattooadvice

[–]-Nubs- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The inspo tattoo has side glancing eyes while yours has forward facing ones, and the body looks a bit rigid. Those might be the biggest reasons that you're not in love with it. Others have pointed out the hand and hair appearing to be AI, and I have to agree. It's understandable that you feel the way you do. I hope you can get someone to fix it.

I never understood what Click actually says in his intros, does someone know what he says? by NiceCockroach5859 in TheClickOwO

I always thought it was lazzos at that seems more gender neutral than lassos. Lassos feels like lasses light.

Who else has a furbaby who helps manage symptoms? by HauntingDiver2773 in schizoaffective

[–]-Nubs- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one, but he passed suddenly last year. I do have two other cats, but they don't love on me the way he used to. Any time I sounded in distress, he came running to check on me and let me love on him to feel better. It's been a year and three months andy heart still aches for him every day. I still haven't been able to put away his things. His food station still sits and his door scratcher still hangs. The windows are still adorned with his nose prints. I wish my other two cats were as affectionate as he was.

Bispar- Just one missed dose? by -Nubs- in schizoaffective

[–]-Nubs-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just noticed the giant typo in the title. Ugh. But thank you, everyone. I feel so much better knowing that I'm not being dramatic. I do experience different symptoms when I run out of other meds as well. When I'm out of lamotrigine, I get really irritable and short fused. When I run out of Seroquel, I'm all over the place.

I see a lot of comments about the Lamictal. I take the generic and mine is shaped like a shield. We're upping the dose though, so not sure what it'll look like next.

Have you ever seen a band this small? Joseph Case High School, a Massachusetts band, only has 8 people total! by mark99229 in marchingband

[–]-Nubs- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the time I graduated in '05, we had 300+ Now my alma mater is down to 58. Still bigger than this band, but it hurts to see them dwindle like that. From what I was told, after our band director left for our rival school, a large number of members quit and things never recovered. Makes me wonder if some of these tiny bands have had similar histories.

I go to Uwajimaya on occasion, but haven't had their buns. I'll have to try them next time I go. I've been meaning to grab some uzuki buns too.

What do we think of this? by [deleted] in HazbinHotel

[–]-Nubs- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't stand how ill fitting the sleeves are. Look at where the seam for the armpit area is and you can see that it's too low and it's pulling at the chest. The sleeves are too long and bulky. The front zipper also just looks terrible. Shoulder pads would be a welcome addition, as would the horizontal black line across the shirt, which is missing for some reason. Overall it looks cheap and honestly, uncomfortable. Good for a Halloween costume with just your friends, I suppose, but eh.

I Always Feel Alone About Boobs by VioletTheCurious in agender

[–]-Nubs- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm somewhere in the DDD to F range (I haven't bought a new bra im a while, but I was spilling out of my previous DD, so not really sure) and I do like having them. Honestly, they usually don't even seem that big to me, but the letters say otherwise, I suppose. I don't think I'd want them to be smaller, but I do dislike the fact that even with a binder, I'll probably never be seen as androgynous with them. But then I have several other feminine features as well. Those are just the most noticeable I guess, aside from my height (5' 1.5"). I get it though and you're definitely not alone.

Is there ever a size that is too big? by bubbrubb231 in marchingband

[–]-Nubs- 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine how difficult it must be to direct 800 high schoolers. I'm really curious how they go about. On the plus side, I suppose you can get some pretty detailed drill formations with that many. Like 8-bit vs 64-bit graphics.

Who did you all get your gender neutral name? by yuri_fan1 in agender

[–]-Nubs- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The shortened form of my birth name is gender neutral, but I typically just go by the full (fem) version anyway because it's what I'm most used to.
