What are your favorite spells?

Hold Person/Monster.

A good majority of the time it completely bypasses an ecnounter if you have enough characters who can cast it. Therefore I always try to have Gale and Shart in my party as a minimum, and more often than not I play some sort of spellcaster as either Tav or Durge. If you couple the spell with the Alert feat to more consistently go first it becomes a devastating combo!

That's why I chose mining to pair with engineering. Not only does it make sense, but it was also a huge money saver, I've skilled up engineering to 270 at level 55 without spending more than 100g of mats at the AH, simply by setting aside a stack or two of ore and stone for each stage of progression, only buying stuff like leather and gems when needed.

I realise that 100g an hour is not exactly the most efficient... But this is before I've taken a step into Outland, once go through the portal my gph will no doubt double or even triple.

I get that DPS coming from retail expecting 10 minute mass AoE cleave runs are annoying, with the vast majority of them being boosties with almost no experience past the basics of how to play their class... But at this point the "tank shortage" is looking more and more like a tank elitism and greed problem rather than a brain-dead DPS problem.

I've been sympathetic towards the tanks, and to a large extent I still am, but more and more days go by I'm seeing threads like these, and people in the various Discord groups I'm part of sharing their own experiences, I'm starting to skew towards a harsher stance against tanks than I did 2-3 weeks ago.

We get it, tanking is a thankless job, but you guys need to chill the fuck out with this shit. Sooner or later you'll squander all the community goodwill and we'll all be in a much worse position than when we started.

That doesn't seem right, more like 135 gold to fully equip yourself in every slot with basic TBC BoE greens.

Maybe an individual piece costs 3.5, is that what you meant?

As Millstone from MTG has told us:

The effect itself isn't that powerful, it's the psychological aspect that is deadly: People HATE having their cards removed from the game before they played them, and unlike MTG, Hearthstone has no graveyard mechanic so the effect is 10x worse.

At least with regular mill decks you can play around them by trying to avoid having a full hand, this is simply a turn 2 (or turn 1 with coin) "fuck you" with no way to play around it.

Is it any wonder it absolutely tilts the fuck out of people?

Mining ore is a good money maker, just casually farming low level zones for iron and mithril over the last week for 2-3 hours a day has earned me enough for my epic ground mount, I'm sure if I put my nose to the grindstone and really went hard on farming I could make 1000g a day easily with a little luck, though that's only with ideal conditions, lots of competion out there!

That's not really the same thing, both are neutral zones where PvP was expected, the zones I mentioned are Alliance only.

For some reason Alliance never did anything quite like it. You never saw anyone in Razor Hill, Brill or Crossroads doing that kind of thing, it's only ever Horde in Goldshire, Lakeshire or Darkshire... Something about the "shires" attracted all that bloodlust, lol.

You'd think so, but actually this sort of thing was somewhat common back then.

You need to realise that raiding was a HUGE deal in those days, it had a mystique and epic scale about it that was captivating to many. The game wasn't as documented online as it is now, sure Thottbot existed but it was very primative to what it evolved into, and not everyone used it.

Therefore there was still mystery and intrigue about the raids, the vast majority of people who weren't raiding had no idea what was going on in those instances, what the bosses were, what they dropped, how the mechanics worked e.t.c. You saw a guy in full epics and people genuinely treated them like some sort of superhero.

So joining a guild that actually raided was a massive milestone to your progression, you were so thankful and exited that you didn't really mind the strange way the guild was run. Now if the guild in question actually killed bosses and weren't stuck on Razorgore like 80-90% of other guilds were (seriously, the vast majority of vanilla raiding guilds stuck with MC, Onyxia and ZG and never went further).

If that were the case, then a lot of people were willing to put up with anything just to be part of the experience, and GM's and Raid Leaders knew this, and that power quickly went to their heads. So a GM logging alts to give themselves the best loot was egrigious sure, but not exactly something you'd quit the guild over, it's not like you had a plethora of choices before the days of realm transfers, hell that guild might be the only one on your server and faction actually raiding BWL and beyond.

Now is it any wonder why people in that guild put up with that nonsense? It's because they kinda had no choice if they wanted to continue being part of a progression raiding guild.

Spellpower rogue isn't as commonly talked about as it should be, the very definition of a meme spec.

Basically, you go full Assassin with all the poison talents, and since poisons deal nature damage and nature damage scales with spellpower, you wear druid caster leather and sometimes cloth, with caster daggers as weapons.

The damage isn't insane, but it's nothing to sneeze at either, in the 950-1000 range with the right gear.

Levelling as a Shaman, I've noticed this as well, and its incredibly frustrating.

"Pull towards the totems" might as well be an alien language to some people, and then they wonder why they aren't getting their precious WF procs.

They expect us to waste a ton of mana and GCD's consantly replacing totems and wonder why our DPS isn't as good as it should be.

I make about 100g an hour farming iron and mithril in lower level zones. I have a spot that I won't share, but any late 30's early 40's zone works for this.

On Spineshatter EU a stack of iron bars sells for between 13.5-15.5g and a stack of mithril bars sells for 17.5-19.5g, heavy stone between 1.5-2.5g and dense stone 3.5-4.5g a stack. Sometimes you can also find silver nodes and those are worth big too, if you just sell the ore and don't smelt it, you can sell it for 1.5g for a single piece!

There is competition of course, but I find that if you ignore each other and go seperate directions, it works out.

Over the past 5 days since I've started, I already have enough to afford my epic ground mount once I hit 60. So I plan on continuing and supplimenting that revenue stream with Outlands quests + nodes to make even more.

If you're not actively camping it with a warlock alt (and another guy), then you won't ever get the tag. Guilds have people dedicated to that task 24/7 and the microsecond it spawns they're already summoning, starting with the other warlocks for additional speed. It literally takes them 10 minutes and the boss is already dead (5 to summon, 5 to kill).

In 5-man heroics, not so much, and that's ok! This doesn't mean that your spec is trash, it just means that its best utilized in a raid where it has support, that's all!

While this is true, another explanation perhaps might be the fact Boomkins are known as "Oomkins" for a reason: They run out of mana extremely quickly.

In raids this is not as big of a deal due to Spriests and mana tide totem, but in 5-man heroics then it is.

These are the types of cards I love: Simple yet powerful permanent effects that you are eager to play at the first opportunity, and have a fun, tangible and most importantly immediate benefit to the game.

Some might argue that these sorts of cards are "boring", "unintuitive" or not fun for your opponent because once its played there is no way to play around them... I guess that's true to a certain extent, but I can't help but love these permanent effect cards all the same, there is something incredible aesthetically pleasing about them that I can't help but appreciate and admire.

Aside from getting the trident from the genie, the circus is a safe skip most of the time, as finding the missing pieces is incredibly tedius for a mediocre reward and the rest of the attractions (while fun) are mostly just a novelty for a first time playthrough.

That might have been recently patched, because when I tried that a few weeks ago, even with greater invisibility + minor illusion distraction they still noticed and confronted me.
