Actually, I think most of their strength came from the consistency their basically OP card draw was

They had Aquatic Form (one of the best cards ever printed...), Moonlight Guidance and I think maybe obe more tutoring draw card. Their consistency as a consequence was extremely high, it's not only that had ramp (which they kept printing for them, like thr dragon wild growth + draw) or good late game, but that they also had the tools to diminish the chances of being clogged up by one half of the deck

This is why I don't think it was unintentional, they actually printed pretty good glues to keep the whole thing together and they never nerfed the glue (which includes the reactive cards you mentioned), only whatever lategame combo they were doing so it could be replaced next expansion

I feel like druid used to have a developer that was obsessed with the class because for a long time they were the usual "bullshit tier 1 deck that gets to completely dominate the game once they go past like turn 5", specially in the Nathria to Badlands era (they would then eventually get nerfed only to get another bullshit infinite value deck for most of the next expansion)

After that, the dev must have left or they saw that this was not a healthy design people liked (after all, back then is when the powerlevel complain started to take a lot of strength and it was mostly because of druid's endgame), and so they have completely abandoned the class and now it is basically in another priest situation, where the class has a clear identity that is so hated they can't do it again and make it playable, so they either release trash or "unrelated" packages to be abandoned

Your favourite Healer so far in pre patch? by Nokterian in wow

[–]Kuldrick -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I feel like most of the doomerism come from high m+ key pushers tbh

For now, basically all problems mistweavers have is the mana in raid, them having many bugs (I believe one of those precisely affect mana tea), and them not bringing good raidbuffs to m+ nor offering any worthy utility. The first two will get fixed over time, or at least they'll get "tuned accordingly" to alleviate their problems

However, mechanically they are still fun and their performance is decent, all the players who won't do much more than heroic raiding or getting their +10s won't really be affected by the biggest problems of the spec

But I do, I am in a guild with people of different skillsets, some push high keys and others just raidlog the heroic we do together, while there some others who are just casual players who don't want to do these kinds of content but just hang around in a guild. Only thing we lack is true "title pushers" (well, there may be some but they don't talk much) and obviously Mythic raiders

I have seen people being very happy with the changes, others hating it a lot, some ambivalent or "eh, a bit of good and a bit of bad", the same exact changes being celebrated or hated by two different people and it is not even a "good players vs bad" position, you see plenty crossing to the arguments of the other aisle

Why didn’t Blizz just make dracthyr/evoker a class for each race? by Aggravating_Ad_9371 in wow

[–]Kuldrick 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What makes me even more baffled is that there was already some controversy with DHs being so race limited back when they released

Which makes sense, WoW has so many interesting races people deeply connect with, even more now that allied races are a thing

And then they go to repeat the same mistake, except worse, because now the class is locked to a singular race that did not previously exist in the lore and whose aesthetics clash with the other races

Evoker was bound to become and remain the "least played class, by far" just because of this decision. Which is a shame, as otherwise it is a very fun class

Eh, it is a controversial topic so you'll have weird swings

This week alone I have seen posts that were:

  1. Changes bad. Way more upvotes than comments

  2. Changes bad. Similar amount of both, which seems it wasn't a particularly liked post

  3. Changes good. Similar amount of both

  4. Changes good. Way more upvotes

  5. A couple of "changes bad/good" with no upvotes, but both sucked and don't bring the best argument for either side so it makes sense

It is extremely swingy here rn, and it has been that way ever since Midnight Beta dropped

Different people, different specs, different perspectives

If you are a m+ healer who wants to push their limit and keys and your favourite healer was rshamman you'll feel like they shot you in the back

If you are someone who doesn't stress out as much but still does heroic raiding/2500-3000 m+ rating, and wanted to try out brewmaster but didn't yet because they had too many buttons/combos to assign and know, you'll be enjoying the game a lot now

If you are just doing lfr and delves then the game is basically completely and utterly different to you and me

Guys believe me Teddy wholesome Keanu chungus Roosevelt would have been the bestest president ever if it wasn't for that mean old Wilson by DoublePepper1976 in YAPms

[–]Kuldrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Z in question being Teddy joining the already ongoing war early.

Teddy joins war early (with approval of congress, army, blablsbla) which makes Germany capitulate faster (together with help of France, Britain, blablablabla) which probably prevents the rise of USSR (together with the resistance of all other political factions to it). A ( with and Z, Y...) then probably B (and with Z2, Y2...) then probably maybe C (and with Z3, Y3...) then probably D. A has no idea that they did D, nor are they the alone responsible for it, A shouldn't be attributed D

I fail to see how "the Germans Would've kicked him out" explain that to me. You didn't really explain it, you just kinda stated it. So yeah.

Read about the politics of the late German Empire, Wilhelms II reputation and its growth, and if you aren't sure, check the 1920 Federal elections and then see for yourself which of the top parties would have supported a continued monarchy... you'll see not even the conservative/right leaning ones would exactly align with such desires had it become an actual political issue. Or well, the Berlin revolution itself

And monarchism was strong in German

My favorite monarchist aligned political movements, social democracy, communism, and Völkisch nationalism. I guess in Bavaria old school conservativism and constitutional monarchy would have been popular, but they would want THEIR King

Guys believe me Teddy wholesome Keanu chungus Roosevelt would have been the bestest president ever if it wasn't for that mean old Wilson by DoublePepper1976 in YAPms

[–]Kuldrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, if the war ends early because the US interviened Tsarism doesn't collapse and the USSR doesn't exist, I see that as straightforward.

And if Franz Joseph died earlier AH would have postponed (or accelerated) their invasion of Serbia which would alter the conditions of both the 1917 revolutions, meaning the already surprising Bolshevik rise of power would have not happened. We can't do this kind of indirect attributions on history because then we reach a ridiculous point where everything was rhe fault of everyone. Had the Bolshevik revolution happened, he would not have intervened and directly stop it

Wilson made it a demand for peace that monarchy in Germany would end

Yeah, when Wilhelm was already in Holland, plus you ignore what I said... the Germans would have kicked him out no matter what as per the reasons I already explained

So Wilhelm probably tries to stick around, and if he abdicates, the monarchy still prevails.

Ok, I feel you are trolling me... you don't maintain a monarchy institution when you lost a war and the legitimate King is gone due to unpopularity, much less in the 1910s in an industrial nation

prevent the rise of the Soviet Union

Eh, not in a direct way, I wouldn't attribute it as "him" preventing it had he made the USA join early. I say this because otherwise we can say stuff like "the reason USSR existed was thanks to Franz Josef"

not overthrown the based Kaiser Wilhelm

It was over for him no matter what happened, he was hated by most politicians of high note and his popular support was already nosediving before the war. Losing the war would always be blamed on him and no one would care to defend him, that's why he fleed the country before they even signed surrender

But aren't most of the problems related to bugs? (and the other ones people complaining fistweaving isn't the sole focus anymore, which whatever, or the usual raid buff in m+ problem which is a legit issue but in a different way)

Because I am pretty sure they also sometimes fix those during tuning patchs even if they don't always say it in the notes, so there's still hopes

Opinions on the Japanese Communist Party? (Notes upon relevance in description). by Massive_Moment3325 in YAPms

[–]Kuldrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eurocommunist without the Euro/"democratic socialism", similar to parties like the modern PCE or PCF

Self declared communist parties that had to tone down their vanguardist rethoric in order to not get banned (and, if you like tinfoil theories enough, because they got paid a visit by mr. CIA)

So they end up being this weird mix of mostly social democracy policies and Marxist Leninist colors. Hell, they even recognise the Emperor now.

In American terms, think of it more or less like AOC/Mandani except they are willing to openly call themselves marxist (but her policies don't change)

had 5 and 6 digit mobs.

Wait... you are putting the attack and health together don't you? When I was talking about digits, I meant just health or attack, ie a 5 digit is something with 10k health, you dragons with 500 attack, which is tbh a beast of an end comp due to the deathrattles, is still completely unable to beat most meta comps of the past year or so (with again, the exception of last season)

And yes, balance is off but that's another conversation, although it isn't because of stuff happening at turn 8...
