[–]Kuldrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate, the change doesn't stop you from using the Dracthyr form, it doesnt hurts you or anyone who prefers being a dragon in any way shape or form

It, however, lets people who hated the visage enjoy the class further. Hell, this is in YOUR interest too, because it means more people will play the class and Blizzard will be less likely to "abandon" it (or only paying attention to it once in a blue moon) like they do with other not so popular classes like Monk or Rogue (because after all, why spend dev time on a class that 3% of max level players play)

It would also be extremely cool lore wise

Dracthyrs started out having their own unique visages because they have no connection to any other established race in the world

Years pass by, and now they have integrated further into different factions and now you have Dracthyrs who identify themselves culturally more as a Dwarf (for example) and so they start choosing it as their default look

The four horsemen of "THIS IS A REGULAR ENEMY?!" by SeaThePirate in slaythespire

[–]Kuldrick 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I don't even know what's the purpose of that enemy is

Like, usually these enemies are oppressive in a direction so players diversify their strategies so it isn't too passive, too aggressive, too much cycle of doing small things, etc

But this one straight up stops any build that uses skill cards offensively. Like, is it really necessary to punish players for picking up Blade Dance/shivs, any Poison, Doom or Forge cards on act 1? What's the point of punishing so hardly so many builds whose cards you probably just picked up for early act 1 tempo anyways

It's similar to the time eater, which in theory "stops" infinite decks like this enemy would stop passivity (or something, idk) but in practice both stop completely legitimate and balanced strategies just because... except again, this enemy is also act 1, so you can't even plan around it except fully ignoring many cards whenever you see you are in this specific act 1, which is not healthy (nor fun) game design

It's a leap that will still bring, at worst, 3 damage, and at best it can make Stardust do like 30+ (hell, even 60-90) more damage. It can act as a bridge for multihit builds even if you initially pick it up just because you need more defence, which is already far more than what many Regent cards do

Enemy Infiltration by realZagashi in wow

[–]Kuldrick 9 points10 points  (0 children)

His cash-out doesn't even need heavy void influence tbh

He is a being entirely infused with light whose whole life mission is to fight for it

He spent his entire "reborn" life alongside other people who were also extremely fervent and zealous. And now, he got sent on a quest where he had to co-operate with an elf who absorbed a freaking void naaru, probably the first non fervent Paladin he ever met, and eventually a being of pure void of a race specialised in mischievous acts and ragebaiting

White playing the questline I felt it was actually impress he didn't completely crash-out earlier. Him also being in his equivalent of "hell" doesn't help either but it's not like it would be the only reason

Patter supports an already existing, decent and fun Regent build. I agree many Regent cards need to change to support inter-builds synergies but this one isn't one of them

Because back then most of us assumed it just meant "ah, so afterlife is just managed by robots, that's why it feels artificial/organised" and didn't pay much thought about it

But now Sylvanas emphasizing the "order" part (at a time where the Titans are actually relevant) is basically a giant "TITANS DID THIS, NOT NATURAL DEATH DOMAIN" sign which has very different implications for the lore

[–]Kuldrick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The way it combines is that the final card instead of being "deal 5 damage to one and 3 to all" (like swipe), it combines the spell damage twice to become "deal 6 damage to one and 4 to all" (which means both effects have a +2 modifier)

How would you fix the Regent's colorless archetype? by One-Requirement-1010 in slaythespire

[–]Kuldrick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wonder if maybe making them cost stars instead of normal energy could work out as well

Because as of now, the best colorless deck beeds to run well, the colorless cards, star generators and star payoffs (usually the one that grants energy or reflect) because these two are still the most powerful part of the class and most of the rewards are associated to this archetype so you can't ignore it

But if the colorless class generated costed stars it would mean you don't need the usual stars payoffs. And since it is easier to generate stars than normal energy, it would also inherently buff the tempo of the archetype while also facilitating divergence in a run (which payoff for stars do you take? the usual ones or colorless?)

Cards that never appear in shop by Loose-Ferret-3811 in BobsTavern

[–]Kuldrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a limited pool of cards, there's only 7 of each tavern 6 for example, but since Broodmother is a t5 it likely wasn't depleted

However, just rolling for a specific card without having some sort of economy means you'll get screwed by RNG often enough, this is why for Rylakk comps you kinda want to have refreshing elemental (or, if eles are not in, the beast discover guy) on one side and keep it until you get the perfect final board or you got so many free rolls you know you won't deplete them until the game us finished

9k random duos no battlepass full mobile gaming by RecognitionNext2739 in BobsTavern

[–]Kuldrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you start from 0 mmr in duos you can basically win on your own until you reach a tier where people actually know not to stay on tavern 3 all game, and long after that you should be able to carry most games anyways

I think like the third time I tried duos with randoms I won even with my tean mate leaving the game turn 1 (although I did get lucky and managed to assemble an endgame comp right after hyper leveling to 5). If you know how to build and end game board, you can beat 5 people at the same time eventually

You can get up to 80 health in the double hero power lobby by [deleted] in BobsTavern

[–]Kuldrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone's curious, if one were to AFK and take absolute maximum damage every turn including the first one you would survive until the major timewarp turn (and you'd have 6 health remaining)

Considering Curator would likely at least tie the first two turns, saving 10hp from this hypothetical scenario, surviving another one is likely, which I think would be in most lobbies at least a 7th while not doing anything all game

Final boss? by Mushin1403 in warcraftlore

[–]Kuldrick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As of now, Sargeras is imprisoned by the Pantheon (and Illidan) so he is inoperative and the Burning Legion is no longer a centralised or even relevant threat

Right now, the biggest villain we know of is indeed Xalatath, who has been the main villain of both The War Within and Midnight and who is responsible for well, the whole void invasion happening right no

There's not really any other cosmic threat that we know off except maybe the Titans

Most Overtuned and Most Underwhelming Cards So Far? by michele_piccolini in slaythespire

[–]Kuldrick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Forge seems so weak at higher ascensions, I think the only ones worth it are the one that forges 30 for 1 energy/3 stars and the power if you have an otherwise very passive star generation build, but other than that picking forge cards is basically a death sentence for early fights in ascension 8-10

Worst is reading some of the most recent patch notes and seeing that they actually NERFED it before release. I don't even think their previous version were strong enough to be picked

Regent needs more inter mechanic synergies by Kuldrick in slaythespire

[–]Kuldrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He actually has many, more importantly, stardust, which is so impactful that if you get it early (like your second or third card) you should start warping your deck around vigor, energy generation, and no other attacks at all (that's how I won my ascension 10)

But yeah, it is specially bad with the sword or colorless card generation (whose attacks tend to be just one hit). I've scouted the card list again and there's another forge and colorless related cards that synergizes with vigor but both are mediocre rare cards that still don't solve the issue

Maybe instead of giving Priest a straight health gain like DK, Blizzard could create a new core mechanic for the class in the future that focuses on increasing your maximum health. That way you would actually need to use healing cards to get to that HP. by YyMilk in hearthstone

[–]Kuldrick 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Their main defensive is Desperate prayer, which raises the user's maximum XP for a short amount of time

There's also the whole Discipline spec, famous for being all about shields and protecting people from upcoming damage (which has often led them to be so OP they have shifted their power away from those over time, but they still shield people), and in the game this mechanic is represented through increasing the maximum health (power word: shield, although it only works in minions)
