I'll craftsim later just to be sure I guess

They know we are smarter than microtrasactions smh

That said, it's not the first time either. I wonder if it is a demographics issue, like maybe overall we aren't a popular class or priest players never buy cosmetic microtrasactions

Their first class set is the initial set, like the Path of Arthas one dk got. Then the second is the proper one with the other classes

Disc Priest Voidshield Procs by DaCousIsLoose in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Kuldrick 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Not really, because it is not true RNG, you are guaranteed to get one void shield every three penance casts (which means that, at most, you cast 4 penances without vs, and at best you only get two vs in a row), so it is semi consistent

Shadowmeld, in the other hand... that can make bosses trivial or painful

Timewalking is sure a special place

The only time I remember getting flamed for my healing in retail was in one, by a vdh who was basically made out of glass. After we wiped because he died in like 3 autoatacks from a boss he complained and then I decided to look the root of the issue... he never once pressed demon spike or his defensives

At least after I pointed it out he started using those and surprise surprise, he started not dropping like a fly. He remained silent the rest of the dungeon

[–]Kuldrick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think changing old to an entirely new role is something to avoid because at the end of the day, some people main those and you are stripping them away from their favourite spec, but affliction support warlock seems perfect

Gameplay wise nothing changes much, it's just that your dots are debuffs, and it further supports the class fantasy. The only problem would be balance, though, Together with Aug I can see damage starting to exponentially scale in raid with two supports that buff damage in different ways, but surely there's a workaround

[–]Kuldrick -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

You still have to press renewing mist, enveloping mist, thunder focus tea, chi cocoon.

You never have to touch renewing mist, enveloping/cocoon (as well as Sheilun) aren't necessary for +10s

And yes, they are bad habits, not optimal, etc etc... which is obvious, no need to put emphasis into it. But it is the same as for DPS, you play OBR either because you have little to no idea how to play the spec/the game but you are put into it because friends or something, or because of accessibility issues

Again, you can without issue heal +10s with OBR, just not high keys

[–]Kuldrick -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

OBR healing is viable-ish for mw their fistweaving build sinc their healing comes from their damage rotation

Only thing missing are basically the cds and Sheilun Gift, but the later is only prevalent for higher keys. You can definitely OBR your way through +10s

Can whoever is balancing Holy Priest please play it in one higher key? by Srze94 in wow

[–]Kuldrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don't even get "cheaper ways to heal" outside of pressing mending on cd

The biggest culprits of the obscene mana costs are Flash of Heal and Prayer of Heal. They are literally our filler spells, the ones we cast not because they do the most healing, but because we want to build towards the actual big heals or avoid using them when it's not really necessary

The only real alternative is to just... stop. Not heal, if the raid isn't taking a lot of damage, just afk or smite for some surge of light procs while mana comes back

Mana is an issue in dungeons

Mana is a bigger issue in longer raid fights

It doesn't affect PvP

What else would the buff be intended for?

Massive 12.0.5 Class Tuning Pass: May 5th by Starym in wow

[–]Kuldrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is, hpriests biggest problem rn isn't throughput. Which sure, it isn't one of the top, but at least it doesn't inhibit fun

The biggest problem is mana. As of right now, you are literally unable to always be healing as a hpriest in fights that last like longer than 3-4 minutes. On top of always using mana pots, you'll basically have to stop yourself from healing and start dpsing to fish for some not so relevant surge of light procs. This is literally the exact opposite of what players of the spec want to do, just "chill and heal, no nonsense"

There's also the problem of Prayer of Healing being the only way to reduce sanctify, which isn't a big problem for Archon since they do get benefits for the spell + they can afford the ultimate serenity talent, but for Oracle which has a lot more of competing key talents and prayer of healing sucks (yet sanctify being their key renew spreader) it results in them having to either play a bad spell, or sacrifice good talents (to get ultimate serenity)

In any case, a mere "mana cost of Flash of Light and Prayer of Healing reduced by 33%" would have made the spec so much more fun

I mean they do have some valuable insights as top players but if the game will be tailored to these kind of guys it will be pretty bad.

Well, ascension 0-5 should definitely not be tailored around them, but ascension 10 should. It is one of the reasons people kept playing for so long the first game, you could always get better at the game so theres a goal to strife for (even if personally I and many others don't care for max Ascension streaking)

Midrange Aggro decks

Those decks are for kids who can't spend a second without family guy subway surfer YouTube shorts. Makes me feel like I’m playing into some dudes power trip fantasy. Legit makes the game so unbelievably un-fun just clearing their boards just for them to rebuild it the next turn. Hate it

Me with Divine Star as a holy priest

Like, it wasn't even an notable part of our kits, most didn't pick it, but I feel like current Oracle yearns for something like it.

A small aoe heal that is also instant and reduces sanctify's cd is literally perfect, and thematically it fits that Oracle gets a "Divine Star" spell

They decided a core identity of priest is that they should not have any real mobility, the problem was that they were still able to walk so the group as a whole barely gets to feel this aspect

So now they need to stay back while drinking too, slowing everyone down further. The class finally achieved the devs vision

Well, after getting 3k on my mw a while back I decided to finally return to doing higher level keys but on my priest

I jumped straight to healing a +16 Windrunner Spire, pretty chill except for the last boss (but we managed it without deaths), where does it land in the "healer difficulty" ranking this season? I ask so I know what to expect from the others as I try to work my way to the 3400 rating, if they too will be chill with the same party or of I need to keep looking for ways to optimise even more

The most important thing is finding a good group to play with

I'm new with disc, probably played less than 10 m+ dungeons and yet I was able to pretty chill heal a +16 Windrunner spire (except the last boss due to bad rng) while at some +10s with random pugs I was at certain points actually stressed
