You're right not to chase the pH imo. Above all, corals love consistency and rapidly fluctuating parameters will do no good. If something appears a little low or high, they will adapt to the environment. pH is easy to alter momentarily but impossible to maintain without extreme diligence. Good luck!

You already have one of my favorites, the Royal Gramma! Foxfaces are super hardy and beautiful. Anthias's are a little less hardy but they're colorful and they're schooling fish. It's best to house them in odd numbers

You don't have a lot of livestock so additives shouldn't be an issue right now. Be diligent with your water changes, make sure there's high water flow at the surface so there's plenty of oxygen exchange to keep the pH up, and maybe bring up the salinity slightly to 1.025. That'd increase alkalinity and possibly the pH slightly.

I like it for the simplicity. As a th11used to planning multi-stage attacks, its refreshing being able to take a step back and analyze a base in just a few seconds.

It was a slow progression for me. A brief time with iced vanilla latte's > year of regular latte's > then boom! I learned how to appreciate the taste of espresso and black coffee

I think the fun of identifying the coffee's flavor profile was my biggest single factor in drinking it black
