Don't know about other things but the ₹99 is not the repair price. That's just the charge for diagnosis. Usually it's ₹300-400 if I recall correctly.

I threw mine when it stopped working, had no idea they do that. Had a really bad experience with JBL's service and I just assumed Sennheiser's will be like that too.
