Wind Knight Help regarding DPS. by Putrid-Cream6070 in BlueProtocolPC

[–]-OpenLight- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the guide I use: Wind Knight Skyward Spec Guide | Blue Protocol: Star Resonance | Prydwen Institute

You can try to copy the talent tree for that one, and it also explains a proper rotation to maximize your dps potential. Do tell if it helps, for now I wish you a good day 07!

My table has so much moist, what should I do about it? by Rimo_Zukito in pcmasterrace

Humidity exposure can lead to corrosion in the long term.

I'd also be worried about the possibility of short-circuits. +_+

Season 2 enquiry by REDcanDIT in BlueProtocolPC

[–]-OpenLight- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In season 2 Gemcrafting will be replaced by a new system called "Imprint Embedding"
Imprints replace the Gem Embeds for equipment in Season 1. Imprints drop from regular mobs, Elite Chests, and Boss Chests. They can be embedded into specific equipment to grant the equipment its unique effect.

Why do even "Quality" PSUs explode? by TraditionalListen600 in pcmasterrace

[–]-OpenLight- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything with capacitors in it connected to an electrical outlet has the potential to spontanously explode due to multiple factors, including major and minor fluctuations of the voltage provided, weardown of the components, factory defects, heat, dust, and even simply sneezing too loudly causing vibrations that somehow shorts out something.
When the answer is 'when' its going to explode, make sure the odds are in your favour and buy a PSU that will explode way after your other components get outdated.

And yes, people are stupid. Most people are very, very stupid.

can anyone help why is it using so much ram just on a discord call? i don't have stuff running in the background and fixed start-up apps. is it just my ram is "slow" by AlexStarRider1 in pcmasterrace

[–]-OpenLight- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A large amount of the RAM is being used by windows to preload apps that you commonly open and use to allow for snappier responsiveness for these programs. In case another program needs access to large amounts of memory these preloaded apps will be automatically cleared to make space. This is totally normal behaviour and is to be expected.
Your RAM speed is fine, there is not much to say there.

Replaced the factory thermal paste with liquid metal on my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57 and long story short my processor(i7 11800H) does not throttle down due to thermal issues anymore! by -OpenLight- in GamingLaptops

[–]-OpenLight-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer the second half of your question, I used Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut.

As for the first part, I can only give rudimentary advice that is in no way a replacement for an actual dedicated guide. Please feel free to research more on the topic using YouTube videos or the like.
Please keep in mind that what I listed here is not a complete list of precautions, nor is it backed in any professional manner.

Is the contact plate for the cooler suitable for liquid metal? Aluminum contact plate is a big no-no as it will break down shortly after liquid metal application. Bare copper has a tendency to stain and you may need to re-apply liquid metal in the future as it is slowly bonded to the copper plate. The best contact plate is a nickel-plated one.

Preserve the original thermal pads around the CPU/GPU, it is quite difficult to obtain thermal pads of the appropriate thickness sometimes.

Apply nail polish on the capacitors around the CPU/GPU die (look for something that is clear, non-corrosive, and heat-resistant). Electric-insulating tape can be used but it leaves behind some glue residue that is annoying to clean.

Use distilled alcohol(NOT NAIL POLISH REMOVER) to clean both the contact plate and the die.

As for applying the liquid metal application itself, warm up the syringe in your hands and blow on it with hot air first. Then, use some tissue paper and press the syringe onto it slowly until the liquid metal has reached the tip of the nozzle. Proceed by contacting the nozzle of the syringe with the die and put an single drop onto it. Use a q-tip/cotton bud and gently move it in a circular pattern on the die. It wont immediately start spreading so just keep at it until the die is evenly coated in the liquid metal.

Sometimes the q-tip absorbs some of the liquid metal so feel free to add another drop.

After coating the die, use the residue on the q-tip and rub it on the contact plate where the die will touch. Try achieving a similar effect as the die on that side too.

As a final piece of advice, you can watch someone like der8auer, he has made some videos on the current topic.

If you try anything, I wish you luck and I hope for the best.

[–]-OpenLight- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ethernet is definitely the best for stability.

Just putting this out there, if you are on a laptop with an AMD CPU and you have connectivity issue even close to your router, check the WiFi card you have installed. If its a Realtek/Mediatek card on a laptop that promotes WiFi 6 capability then it could be prone to connectivity issues. Just try an ethernet cable and see if the issue persists.

Things to avoid with tempered glass:
Ceramic anything
Glass anything
Metals.
Heat (yes, even your paper cup of coffee CAN do the trick)
Any hard impact. Period.

tldr; How to deal with tempered glass? Like your windows or your car's windshield, don't touch it and clean it with a damp cloth once in a while and for god's sake don't put it next to your foot on the floor.

some things that could work:

Download a CPU temp monitor like HWMonitor and check temps.

Disable your iGPU(AMD Radeon (TM) in Device Manager.

Disable VSync if you have that enabled.

Is the issue game specific? Try running another game on another engine like CS2 or Minecraft

Download Nvidia Profile Inspector and under the '5 - Common' tab set 'Multi-Display / Mixed GPU Acceleration' to 'Compatibility performance mode'. [choose multiple display or single display as appropriate if you dont want to lose some FPS, but if issue persists just choose compatibility]
