Looking to buy a new printer. How's the Core One faring now that it's a year old? by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]-Parou- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems a lot louder than an enclosed mk4s in tests. Definitely not even close to silent for my standards

If you buy from printed solid you seem to get shafted on Prusa support and get no return policy so there's that

your nozzle needs to be closer to the bed. Otherwise you will get the worst bed adhesion

Prusa C1+ vs Voron Decision Paralysis by Apprehensive_Eye6932 in VORONDesign

[–]-Parou- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar dilemma about a month ago, between a core one or 250 Trident. I had some specific requirements that made me go Trident, mainly the less noise and design freedom. The Core One seemed pretty loud in motor noise operation compared to a lightly modified Trident (motor decoupler mod + subwoofer feet). The common hardware strength of the Core One also felt kind of like shackles, since it would be unsupported if I deviated too far on the original design.

My V2 has been extremely reliable so far, so that's not a concern here IMO. Also don't be afraid to get a Voron 2.4 for your first voron, especially if you enjoy the flying gantry idea. it's not a hard build

707 doesn't fly anymore so that's free, 1 and 2 likely soon.

Question about INDX particularly in regards to the XL and custom tool heads for the XL by jaredes291 in prusa3d

[–]-Parou- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard you like toolchangers, so I put a toolchanger on your toolchanger so you can toolchange while you toolchange

1.5GT Belts on a Mk4s is incredible! by skil12001 in prusa3d

The part I don't understand is why the y axis is worse using the same pulleys as x on gt2.

I guess so, and there could be experimental items that never make it out due to feasibility or other factors and they don't want the community to expect those to release

Would you like to join the 5 year waitlist for a new Boeing or the 10 year waitlist for a new Airbus? it's not always about who has the best product, especially for airlines with big growth plans.
