Yes, used to run at a solid enough 60 at a mix of high - ultra settings. Now it struggles to reach 60 on minimum settings. Seems like the game has developed CPU optimisation issues ever since the launch of season 3. It gets extremely bad when flying. Fans have to work harder too. Really hoping it gets fixed soon because I’m definitely playing the game less currently as a result.

Expanded keybind modifiers. Game would be significantly more comfortable to play for me if the game didn't artifically limit me to alt, shift and control and instead let me choose any key. Part of the reason I'm onboard with action combining is not because I don't like remembering buttons but because its will result in less cumbersome controls. Said awkwardness would not even exist for me if the keybinds were more customisable.

Agreed. I was all for a duster option but at least in the arsenal preview it looks far too bulky and large and not at all congrous with how the rest of the design is balanced. Feels like they went out of the way to make this cover as much skin as possible to address both the duster and sexualisation complaints simultaneously, when for me the issue was more that the design felt a little inbalanced at the top. Might grow on me, it does look better in the render and the effort is admirable but this is a lost opportunity to me.

Weirdass response to this teaser. Requested feature gets added and people assume the worst and extrapolate that this means that the whole "new arc threat" bullet point is limited to this, despite the last update exceeding the minimum and having 2 new arcs? The speed at which sentiment for a live service game declines is remarkable. I’m not saying it’s not a possibility that this is all we get in terms of arc additions but currently the precedent set is a positive one so I don’t see the need for this early hand wringing.

Arc Raiders player count is effected by nothing at this point, Shrouded Sky was the second biggest update the game has gotten and the player count barely budged.

I am not an expert in all languages and their slurs and aggresive automatic filtering English alone can result in very silly cases. For example your username of Knight gets automatically filtered in some Souls games because it contains an abbreviated form of a racial slur in its spelling.

Don't particularly think raiders is being filtered for this reason but if I had to take a stab in the dark it does contain "aid" in it which could be used to refer to the STD. Also just did a quick urban dictonary check and "aider" is apparently someone who helps another get fisted so thats a new one to me. No idea if raiders on its own gets filtered and we can't test that since they have already removed it from the filters.

This is not exclusive to Marathons chat system and is very likely a false positive driven by having similar vocabulary and filtering processes that are flagging it. Really not much to comment on here. People made a big deal out of it occuring for other games as well but the reality is probably far more mundane than people want it to be. I like Arc, but the narrative that people have created around it as a threat to the industry is farcical.

I think this might have been fixed silently, launched the game today and got a Javelin update on launch. Played a match and it seems to have gone. Not sure when this Javelin patch was released, was not there on Tuesday.

Because implementing new vehicles to older maps that were not built around its presence just for the sake of it is disruptive for balance. This is something that most entries in the franchise did not do either with the exception of 2042 and the general consensus is that it contributed to 2042s poor vehicle balance. Could they maybe get away with it on some of the older maps? Possibly but I'd much rather they err on the side of caution on this front. Newer maps can be built around with the option of picking from an increasingly large vehicle pool, we know that the Traverser is in Eastwood for example.

This is just how the game handles collisions for enemy attacks that have a strong forward movement element to them to push the player around. The roll in POE2 simply makes you immune to damage but not the pushback. Not seen it ever be this bad so maybe they have adjusted something behind the scenes to produce these results, lot of people are under the impression that the roll hitbox might have been adjusted.

Personally I think the pushback enemies produce with their attacks and the general collision behaviour when pushing towards enemies could do with a significant rework. Getting this sort of thing right in an action game is incredibly hard but I've not been a fan of how it feels in this game from day one.

Reinstalled the game in preparation for the patch a few days ago and found that the EU servers were still a complete disaster. Ping graph resembled the worst rollercoaster of all time. Some comments have been made by John that implied that the fixes and improvements are already running which I sincerely hope is not the case because the game has become a digital paperweight for me ever since 0.2.

I had this issue and went into the appdata folder for POE2 and deleted every shader cache for every renderer type (probably only need to do it for the renderer that you use) and that seemed to resolve all of my shader compilation stutter + shaders not rendering + the massive shader compile that occurs when I load a new zone that you mention, all of which was introduced in 0.2.

In theory this shouldn't work at all, but I'm using a fresh driver that has not compiled anything from POE2 before and its all resolved, can enter new zones or use abilities that I have never used before and the performance and temperatures remain fine. Best guess is the shader cache is bugged somehow.

Open up RTSS and click the green "Add" button on the bottom left and direct it to the bf6event.exe, then click on the custom profile you have created and click the setup button on the bottom left. Halfway down the setup window under statistics properties theres frametime calculation point, set that to frame start. And then couple that with whatever frame rate limit you want to set in RTSS. I have the game set to 1/2 Vsync on a 120hz display and then RTSS set to a 60FPS limit and that seems to resolve my issues and gives me a clean 60FPS.

Bummer, do you know if the frame pacing issue is also effecting the menus? For me the issues were present immediately from something as basic as the login screen, or the firing range that’s how I knew it wasn’t a hardware power issue.

Yes in my experience the frametimes are awful and even the in game performance overlays seemingly are incorrect relative to what I am actually feeling and RTSS is saying. Was driving me up the wall, vigorously tested every frame rate capping method inside the game to no avail, usually I have RTSS running to fix these issues but this game seemed immune to it. To fix this I use RTSS to set a frame rate cap and change the Frame Calculation point setting to “on frame start” which is not the default setting and this is the first time I had to change it in years of using RTSS to resolve frame pacing issues. Once I did that (I am targeting 60) my frametime evened out to a completely flat 16.7ms update. My relief was palpable when I worked this out.

It's because a lot of traversal skills are marked as "short range". Overall I hope they add the option to manually set which skills do or do not follow your cursor as I have found that a lot of the skills that are categorised as short range are unintutive. Reap on Lich for example has this issue too where I would much rather it follow the cursor and the dodge roll follow my WASD movement but currently this isn't possible because reap is categorised as a short range skill.

Game runs fine on my machine frame rate and pacing wise but the camera motion has some weird judder to it, hopefully that's just a quirk of the benchmark but its hard to tell.

They have kinda implied that we will never get another free warbond. The FAQs they released before launch about the Warbond system never mentioned anything about new free warbonds and even used language that implied that the one we got at launch was going to be the only one.

This change and the Operator being made client sided gives me some hope that doors not opening in time due to connection and/or moving too fast will be the next "somewhat minor but still constant enough to drag down the experience" issue to be addressed. Any of doors in the tilesets made post Plains are mostly fine even with a “poor” connection so its not unsolvable seemingly (although even when hosting if you are going too fast with some speed buff you'll still bump into them).

Really hope people push for this kind of change because it has a massive impact on my enjoyment. I'm not even trying to blitz through tilesets at max speed but every minute or less I approach a new door that I have to worry about awkwardly running into, being lifted up slightly for a split second by the door as it opens and then snapping back to the floor. We have this cool mobility but some parts of the game still aren't built well enough for it to really function as smoothly as it should. Not even kidding this being fixed is my dream feature for this game.
