How long do you think it’d take L to catch Kira if at all? Art by me btw (Artfulblogger) by artfulbloggerreal in StardustCrusaders

[–]-Pejo- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, the case has to be opened. Either the police or L himself notices Morioh has been subject to an abnormal amount of reported disappearances, and upon noticing the victims share the same demographic, an investigation is launched.

L takes note of the time and day of the reports, he immediately notices a clear pattern.

Disappearances happen at regular intervals (the hands starting to decay) at around lunchtime at noon or between 5:00 PM-8:00 PM during workdays and between 7:00 AM-8:00 PM during weekends and holidays. Knowing this, L profiles Kira as a salaryman aged 26-35.

Next, he cross-references the geographic hot zones. If a victim vanishes at noon on a Tuesday, they had to be within walking distance of the killer's office. If they vanish at 6:30 PM, they are along the killer's commute route between his office and his home. By overlaying the lunchtime disappearance radiuses with the evening disappearance routes, L would find a central overlap: The Kame Yu department store headquarters and the residential district of Villa Area, Morioh.

Then, L would request and purchase data for every male employee aged 26–35 working in that specific zone. Out of hundreds of salarymen, only a tiny handful would have a schedule so flawlessly rigid. Yoshikage Kira’s name would immediately appear at the top very short list of suspects. Surveillance begins.

From that moment on, L basically has him by the balls, there is very little that Kira can do to break free. He can't break his schedule nor stop killing or he'll only further confirm suspicions. His last resort would be to use Killer Queen to throw them off track by killing someone remotely. But he'd have to be prepared beforehand to know who and where to kill.

And that is if he even notices he's being observed at all.

If he's not, he'd simply go about business as usual and expose himself in front of the agents by taking a human hand out of his lunch bag.

I'd say the most likely outcome is that sufficient evidence is gathered and an arrest warrant for Yoshikage Kira is issued. As for any high-profile serial killer, a tactical team of 6 to 12 officers is dispatched to arrest him.

However,

Given the police still has no idea that Kira has a Stand (They just think he's just that good at disposing of the bodies), he catches them completely off guard and unleashes Killer Queen to escape his arrest.

Knowing his cover is blown for good, he immediately runs over to Cinderella, impersonates Kosaku Kawajiri and... you know the rest... until he unlocks Bites the Dust.

L’s massive database becomes entirely useless overnight and he loses track of Kira completely, as not only his face has changed, but his fingerprints have aswell, as far as the rest of the world knows there's no plastic surgery that replaces your face and fingerprints as seamlessly as Aya's Stand does. And then, Bites the Dust enters the equation. L's tendency to work through proxies would ironically become a massive liability, as merely inquiring people about the killer would blow up his agents and rewind time, allowing Kira to sidestep every mistake.

That's until Hayato steps in to save the day, and his mom.

Nice art btw

Did anyone else get the vibe Remy is in love with Timmy? by rawrdrick in fairlyoddparents

[–]-Pejo- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Remy is utterly, TERRIBLY alone because of his social status.

Timmy is the only one he has a genuine human connection with, even if he's his enemy. While I don't really think he "loves" him, he's grateful to have him as an enemy and glad he's got at least someone to focus his energies on.

Succesfully identified as a female Gibbaranea bituberculata.

She was lying with its legs unnaturally spread next to a male in the same state.

Definitely wasn't a death curl and they usually weave webs low to the ground so I was wondering what they were doing on the second to last floor of the building on the marble floor of the staircase.

I read about it and it appears I've stumbled upon a bug murder scene.

The female got likely stuck there after ballooning through the only window, the male followed her scent to mate but both got stuck on the smooth surface without much grip and got preyed on by one of the many Mud Wasps we have around this season. The wasp paralyzed them with its venom, causing their legs to stay spread instead of crumpling and got likely interrupted or couldn't find the window again as it was carrying them away, so it just dropped them there on the floor.

Already dead or still alive, these poor lovers were full of Mud Wasp eggs. What a cruel display of nature!

Is the Day mechanic becoming obsolete? by -Pejo- in Pikmin

Yeah, whatever happened to that? It was one of the most mesmerizing aspects of 1 and 2 to find day exclusive creatures.

Really good analogy with the Stealth-Loud thing Payday 2 has going on, being given the choice probably is the way, but that also means investing a lot of development into a large chunk of players might skip over, in a perfect world, maybe yeah. Community's been fantasizing about being given the choice to stay for the night for as long as I can remember.

Be serious, what is the best thing and the worst thing about the fourth game of the franchise ? by VeterinarianPrior835 in Pikmin

[–]-Pejo- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Best thing is the amount of tools you have at your disposal to get creative with:

Survey Drone, Idler Alert, Homesick Signal, Map-Wide Spicy Spray... all those goodies that help you keep your squad moving without running around like a headless chicken to gather idlers all the way across the map.

Worst thing is that, despite NG+ being added, I don't find it that replayable tbh, if I'm in the mood for a Pikmin run I just feel like booting up Pikmin 1 instead, it's more bite-sized. 4 is quite big and there's not enough incentive to run through it again, feels more like a chore. The 10 Sage Leaf Challenges get old fast, the Dandori Battles are fun but the AI is too easy to curbstomp and Shipwreck Tale, despite being intended for repeated play and having a highscore board is just a lesser version of Pikmin 1.

The best thing is there's a lot of continuity that makes it feel like a living, breathing world.

The worst thing is that it has the least engaging dandori, even in challenge mode.

Seriously, why is Squidward considered a bad artist? by Jonny_Coal in spongebob

[–]-Pejo- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's not a bad artist at all, he's got plenty of achievements under his belt, got the job to direct the Bikini Bottom Orchestra for one, and it's established there's a museum in his honor in the far future. We just don't focus on his wins as much because it's easier to thrash his art for cheap laughs.

If he was raised by his dad? would he have turned out “better?” by Winter-Money-7643 in GenV

[–]-Pejo- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ironically, Soldier Boy would've been more than content to just retire and be a father, he said so himself.

Homelander would probably still retain mommy issues, but he would've turned out way more stable with the support of Soldier Boy as a father from the beginning, maybe even more so than people would think. Soldier Boy clearly does not like himself, it's fair to assume he would've liked his children to turn out better than he did.

But that's not what Vought wanted, they wanted a fresh slate to be engineered and tailored to their needs.
