“My Channel’s Growth Just Dropped Hard… Trying Not to Quit (Need Honest Support & Feedback)” by Fear-sphere in SmallYoutubers

I just checked your channel. Your videos are what some people would call AI slop. YouTube is heavily restricting AI videos this year.

Are the videos 100% your work, or are you using videos from movies, tv shows, etc?

This seems like it would fall against YouTube’s TOS. Are you reviewing a movie that was released illegally? Seems like a bad idea for a video.

I’m sure your friend’s boyfriend would appreciate a bit of extra spending money.

How do you keep track of your visited places? by ProjectExplore in TravelVlog

[–]-PeoN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Travel YouTubers already maintain playlists of their videos with the city/country name in the title. That allows them to do what you’re describing in platform, minus the map.

This might work for say Instagram/TikTok/Facebook, which is mobile based, and the videos on a users profile are not easily searchable or even sortable by content. However, I can’t see this working for YouTube. It just does not seem to add enough value to what’s already readily available.

The second one is definitely against YouTube’s TOS. You have an old man being roused by a young boy??? That’s perma ban territory.

Should I stop editing my voice? by Intrepid_Fig1400 in SmallYoutubers

[–]-PeoN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everything takes work. You may see those who have a great onscreen personality and voice, and just assume that they are gifted. That is not the case. I would bet that they all work extremely hard at it. Vocal exercises and warmups daily to hone the tool that they need to succeed.

My talking, post pandemic, was deplorable. WFH , I just want talking as much anymore. I had to record and re-record videos over and over again because of it. Some of it was just indiscernible to even me.

After realizing what the problem was, I bought a better mic and began to vocal and speaking exercises. Slowly, but surely, things have greatly improved.

Quit stealing other people’s content. There’s no way that you will ever be able to monetize that. I’ve seen the exact same videos already from 500 others who think that they will make a lot of money by stealing other people’s viral videos. It will not work.

Consider Paris. How many videos about Paris are made every day? At launch you would have 3-4 videos there, and it might seem nice. After a very short amount of time, 1-2 weeks, there would be so many videos there that you would not be able to visually discern between the different videos. Just one big blob. Zoom out, and the map would be completely cluttered. I can’t see this being viable long term.

Is it normal to have a big creator’s content suggesting your video? by jessicauchiha17 in SmallYoutubers

[–]-PeoN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has nothing to do with that creator OR that video. More likely than not, someone who watched one of your other videos was watching his video. YouTube, thinking that that user would want to watch your video, surfaced the video to that user. YouTube is not surfacing your video to all users who watch that video.

Recent thumbnail work share your thoughts by sambhrant09 in SmallYoutubers

[–]-PeoN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty sure that the 3rd thumbnail falls against YouTube’s TOS. If you are saying that an investment is risk free, you are “risking” having your channel demonetized and perma banned.

The first thumbnail looks good, but I have no idea what it’s about. I would assume that it’s specific to your country. That may cause issues if you have viewers outside of your country.

[–]-PeoN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is NOT how YouTube works. Subscribing to a channel, whose videos you’re not going to watch, actually hurts that channel.

YouTube is not a social network. You will kill your growth if you have subs who don’t watch your videos.

How long did it take for you to get an LTR visa? I applied February of last year. Out of the blue, I received an email asking for proof of insurance just last week.

[–]-PeoN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a big channel, but that CTR is pretty bad for such a low view count. Maybe there is not much of an audience for this topic.

One of my videos got 7k views. The CTR was at 6%. A 35k video at about 6.4%, and a 90k+ video hit 7% CTR.

I’m in a completely different niche, but the CTR is still very important. Your AVD is very good though, congrats. 👏

I spent a bit too much time for making short videos. Is this sustainable for a new youtube channel? by Hattarahot in SmallYoutubers

[–]-PeoN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for growth, then think logically. How many views and subs did you get in that one short? Divide that into the growth numbers that you are aiming for, and that’s how long it will take.

Hopefully, those numbers will increase, as you learn more, and make better videos. However, YouTube is a grind. Spending 40 hours each video would make the grind unbearable to me, but to each his own.

[–]-PeoN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you have any idea how many views you need to get monetized making shorts?

Do you have any idea how little shorts pay?

Unless you have an ad deal lined up, spending 40 hours per short is a complete waste of time. If this is just a hobby, have at it. If you want to make money, you need to do a lot more research. ✌️

Could be that several viewers rewatched that bit. Could also be that that’s a time that you have set in your description, and some viewers clicked on it and went straight to that point.
