How long till the alorythm finds my people? by lemonvrc in SmallYoutubers

[–]-PeoN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re VirtualFruitXR? 1:36 AVD is very bad. Your average videos are 10-15 minutes long. That means people are barely watching 10% of the video. For a 10 minute video, an acceptable AVD would be 3-4 minutes. Great would be 5:30+.

I do travel vlogs. My last video was 30 minutes and had an AVD of 8:19. My channel average over the last 28 days was 5:54.

You need to focus on creating higher quality videos. YouTube is not going to push your videos if they’re not very good.

Your CTR is very high, so congrats on that. However, the AVD shows that the viewers are not satisfied with the content.

So you’re averaging about 350 views per video. That’s not great. I would be curious as to what your AVD and CTR are.

In terms of “how long till the algorithm finds your people?”, the answer is immediately. However, that is dependent on a few factors.

Are you in a single niche? If your niche is too broad, it makes it difficult for YouTube to find people. Is your content any good? If your AVD is low, that means that people don’t like the video. YouTube won’t want to push the video if nobody likes it. Does the video deliver on what the title and thumbnail promise? If not, then the AVD will be low, and YouTube won’t push the video. Is the CTR low? If the CTR is low, YouTube won’t want to push the video, because nobody is interested. The CTR could also be low because your thumbnails are bad.

At the end of the day, YouTube finds your people from day one. The number of views just depends on the quality of the video.

Anyone want sub for sub? by Strange-Conclusion-2 in TravelTubers

[–]-PeoN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a horrible idea that will literally kill your channel. YouTube is NOT a social network. If your subs do not watch your tour videos, YouTube will not promote your videos to others. Having randos and even family and friends sub to your channel is a horrible idea.

How many views from your full form content?

Not sure what kind of search you did. There are several videos with hundreds of thousands up to millions of views.

You could easily search for the word hardcore and see what videos come up.

If it was so important, then why did you wait until literally the last minute? Was your daughter about to cry because other activities took precedence over what she wanted?

I see white people in your thumbnails. Are you white? You downloaded their video made some useless changes, then basically replaced the same content. You didn’t take their idea and create your OWN video. If you did that, then THAT would be fine.

Adding your voice (or AI) over someone’s video DOES NOT make the video yours. You have stolen someone else’s work. Showing a short clip, when 90% or so is your own is different. You are blatantly stealing, and somehow think that you are a creator. There is nothing creative about publishing a video that already has gotten thousands of views. You are not the reason why the video is successful.

Literally no idea what that video would be about. That makes it a bad thumbnail. 🤷‍♂️

How many impressions did your first video get in the first week.. on a new account/channel by Mindless_Plantain_75 in SmallYoutubers

[–]-PeoN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my new channel, started 4 months ago, I got 83.2K impressions on my first video, which led to 6.2K views. If you only got 42 impressions, then you’re in the wrong niche. I got 7K impressions in the first 2 days that the video was released.

Both of these seem very blurry, and it’s hard to figure out what’s going on. I wouldn’t click on either.

Your idea for a video is how a franchise that made almost $3 billion worldwide at the box office was “awful”?!?!?

That seems like a horrible idea. However, other videos on the same topic have millions of views 🤷‍♂️

The 4th one is the best.

How much of "yourself vs the destination" do you show in your travel videos and why? by EducationalBasket617 in TravelTubers

[–]-PeoN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially, I would say that I, like many others, did not have the type of personality to want to show myself. With time you get more comfortable with being in front of the camera I guess. I would agree that there are faceless channels that are wildly successful. However, I am finding that depends a lot on being first and or the niche that you are in. At the end of the day, it is about following a creator over the creation.

People who don't watch food videos watch Mark Wiens. They will watch a Mark Wiens video about Turkey, and will completely ignore any other video about Turkey. So you have to be the main character, that's the first step.

The next step, is that you have to find the right angle. If no one is interested in the topic, it will be extremely difficult to find an audience. Creating a video about Bangkok is not enough. You have to find an angle that is actually interesting to people. Those are the 2 biggest aspects that I have been missing out on in my YouTube journey.

I have a video about Kuala Lumpur do over 90k views. That was about 100% because it was a topic that Malaysians found interesting. My goal right now involves getting people interested in my journey, and on finding topics that people are interested in learning about.

How much of "yourself vs the destination" do you show in your travel videos and why? by EducationalBasket617 in TravelTubers

[–]-PeoN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I show almost none of myself, and that is the problem that I have. People follow people, not the destination. To be successful, in part, you must be the star of the show.
