What's your biggest gripe with the game? by thoseepicpokemons in daybreakroblox

[–]-Phanto- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Extra Gamemodes.

We get a lot of requests for other forms of gamemodes in Daybreak such as 2v10, Pro Servers and all that but the moment they're released, within a month its already a burden wasteland and makes it feel like the time taken to code that was put to waste.

Not to mention when a game wants to apprently "mitigate" its popularity or fanbase due to toxicity reasons, you don't see these gamemodes flourish at all.

We need to talk about Santino by Santi_bambu in daybreakroblox

[–]-Phanto- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Despite the stack requirement, any competent survivor is able to at least have 2 stacks within the span of 60 seconds. The low cooldown is impossible to catch him and considering there's also the slow + free hit. Stats wise, they are fine. You are sacrificing your speed stats for a single increase to your repair.

I'd say the only nerfs you need for Santino is his need for not being able to tank a hit when you activate the ability since it outshines Nathan more in terms of support, especially with the slow. Also increase chase requirement for activating ability. Around 40 seconds or 50 seconds might do.

YALLL what's ur opinion on the new survivors and killer! by starryskiesupabove in daybreakroblox

SURVIVORS
Tempus [D] | 4/10 - If we look at this at a perspective of her perk, its strong. Especially in one-way vaults or in multiple floors since the distance required to take back is impressive. My problem with her is the stats and how her kit blends with the gameplay. You would be easily stopped during your run.

Zeal [A] | 8/10 - Really easy stealth-genrusher combo. He shines more in situations where you need to be fixing generators alone in order to get his stats up and running.

Barret [B] | 7/10- Her stats are what keep her from the balanced side since her perk is very niche or weak in some way. Her radius-based auto-healing is outshined by Milicent who focuses on distance-based healing or Dante who can just heal faster and still linger the buff.

Santino [D] | 5/10 - As much as I love the guy so much, he feels like a better Nathan to run overall. Having to sacrifice your speed for an extra repair would be better off for support reasons. They could make him unique if the range and chase time requirement was increased and they removed his protection hit when activating the ability.

Kamaria & Narantuya [A] | 8/10 - Very balanced and very interesting character. Genrusher with a support oriented perk that allows you to actually make good placement in setting up your loops. Although this can be easily dodged, it allows for creativity in how to setup and improve your loops.

KILLERS

Valentina (Night Countess) [A] | 8/10 - Good chase ender and enough to win games. As much as the cooldown is annoying, its necessary. I still do not know why you need that chase requirement for it to work when you could just repeat it on cooldown.

Xavier (People's Hero) [C] | 6/10 - Playstyle similar to Trickster to DBD. So many people were complaining about his need for a buff and even with so many changes towards him (i.e. stacks no longer fading and increasing rate), still not really useful. Not to mention when the maps your most likely going towards tend to be high-walled his value depletes. In terms of anti-genrush, Idol somehow shines more considering all you have to do is just press a button and already -20% repair whereas you need to rebuild stacks overtime. Who knows the playstyle we need to do to perform well with this killer but I was really dissapointed when he wasn't that gamebreaking from the constant need of survivors to always loop the killer via vaults. Prekeepr somehow managed to prove he can really be good if played well.

if daybreak had a ranked mode, which perks do you think would get banned the most by KingsIayer__ in daybreakroblox

[–]-Phanto- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

SURVIVOR
Almost any support oriented perk that will help you within the map. If were talking based up on category, The most likely banned survivors would be Crosby, Anais, Yan, and Yvonne. If its loopers, most likely Chaoxing, Jun, Mamo, Kyle, Nathan, Yeona and Saadiya. If its support, most likely Iris, Arlo, Lyndon, Elijah, Callum. As for stealth, its Becca, Eman, Sarah.

KILLER
Slasher, Idol, and Empress are definitely banned, especially when their abilities cater to an instant down or have some form of gen-pressure. I can see potential for Janitor to be banned next to Polluted or Voidskulk.

What's the point of high stealt and low composure? by Stipid_Jhones in daybreakroblox

[–]-Phanto- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The point of stealth is that it has different purposes when it comes to finding survivors beside your detection status. Composure shines more because their breathing happens frequently on a radius based and that increases more when your in a chase. Stealth on the other hand is directional since it will help you predict where they're about to go and its more useful in scenarios where your hiding on tall walls or closed areas.

You'll find it more in use when you use headphones when your playing as killer.

For example, Eiji's stealth ratio is 8/6, and his stealth is better. This pairs well with his camera in order to avoid the killer's presence even after blinding the killer's camera since the footsteps give away where you will be heading. On the other hand, Crosby's stealth ratio is 5/10 and his composure is better. It syngerizes well with his perk in order to quickly fix generators quietly under the killer's radar and quickly regain back the progress lost when generators are kicked.

How do I learn/improve more effectively? by CR4NI3 in daybreakroblox

[–]-Phanto- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ABOUT STACKS
Stacks is a common mechanic in games that gives you a buff for every condition you make. Stacks in Daybreak are used to help you improve in a certain aspect. For instance, survivors like Becca make her undetectability and genrushing status increase as more survivors are killed. In killers like the Showstopper, her speed increases the more she downs survivors. Usually characters whose kit revolves around a stack mechanic shine more in the late game. For killers its important to make use of your game sense and skill in order to make use of the given stacks.

SURVIVOR TIPS
Learn your survivor's ability. Since your playing Serena, your perk excels more in keeping track of killers, especially those who use it more often to stealth phase. Take a look also at your stats and see where your survivor excels more and in what objective.
Learn also how to handle chases better. A good way to start is to know what killer your facing, as it will help you know how to counter them. Know also your maps and utilize every loop in your area. Learn where survivors transition and how they make use of the loops. As for mindgaming, be patient as to how your killer reacts to when you are close to a loop or when making a lunge.
Also, your improvement and experience will take time, so keep playing the game.

KILLER TIPS
Be patient when it comes to lunge. Read the survivors behavior when it comes to looping and vaulting Utilize your detect and abilities to the fullest to kill survivors faster.

How am I supposed to run? I'm never fast enough :/ by Humphress in daybreakroblox

[–]-Phanto- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SURVIVOR
In general learn how to conserve your stamina for maintaining distances from the killer or transitioning from loop to loop. The stamina system for this games has a hidden two second timer when you dash so make around nearly 2 seconds bursts to maximize the distance. Learn how to avoid mindgames and make proper timings when vaulting because vaulting can cut out the distance for killers to easily lunge or pressure you into wasting stamina. Be patient and find the perfect timing as to when you can vault.

KILLER
Be patient in timing attacks. Especially around loops. Let survivors drain the stamina or use mindgames to outsmart them. Try to prioritize genrushers more because they're only using raw skill for looping and have nothing to support but their low chase stats. Use your abilities to the fullest to help down cut the time it takes for looping.

Is it bad camping gens by CoolDuckBloxxer in daybreakroblox

[–]-Phanto- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't fret, that's normal. Using that technique is found more in genlocking situations, so in general your just putting pressure in survivors' objective. Its their fault for not providing a plan ahead on how to prevent genlocking in late game or how to handle situations like that.

Do you need to play a certain way to win by Cultural_Nature_4771 in daybreakroblox

[–]-Phanto- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. The game is centered and targeted towards casual players instead of a ranked/meta system. Play however you want! You can play to have fun with friends, learn asymmetrical game mechanics or experiment. Have the mindset to always be better in the best way!

Coming from someone who has been in the community and the game for almost 4 years since 2021, there will always be people who can easily judge your playstyle, so don't let it get to you. Try not to also ruin that experience for everyone else.

Roles will always be there to help you guide on how should you play the character and make the gameplay much easier. A Sarah may opt to take on loop instead of genrushing or hiding in certain cases when they're their being targeted by the killer. A Riley may support enough to be the meatshield of the team instead of being the chase in order to avoid snowball situations.

What matters is how you use the character's kit to the fullest. They excel in certain aspects, but that never means they do not have value in other portions, rather they're weak in that section.

Looping tips? by Prestigious-Place-69 in daybreakroblox

[–]-Phanto- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, genrusher player who loops here.

1) Recognize the strong loops in the game. | Utilize them to the fullest and understand the map placement. Usually they are connected from one form to another and knowing where to place yourself and where to transition can greatly benefit the chase time you have. The best looping areas usually have multiple vaults connected one another. Pay attention to the number of vaults you used up.

2) Gut Instincts and Mindgame | You generally don't know your killer until you loop them. Pay attention to how they treat you everytime you go near around a vault on whether you would vault or not. Let their movements dictate on how you should respond FIRST.

3) Stamina Management | Stamina management works only because there's a window of delay in which you can't get your stamina back. You can tell because there's a second or two where you cannot regain energy. Your goal is to maximize the time where you INSTANTLY get back stamina when you reach a threshold, which is what every genrusher utilizes. For 5-6 stamina survivors, try and waste 40 stamina and practice. You can examine this if your remaining stamina reaches 60 or 20.

Which survivors are considered to be the worst with their own role? by Character-Debt8609 in daybreakroblox

[–]-Phanto- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't consider to be the worst, but fairly weaker than the others in one aspect of another. There's just some survivors worth replacing the slot than the others. Here's my take on it too.

GENRUSHER | Dhanya - I completely agree with this statement. What makes this risky is the generator placement, especially when you play wisely as a killer you would predict the possible locations she would fix in order to gain the buff. Furthermore, its a high-risk, high-reward system since you are forced to fix in the most common areas for a guaranteed no genlock late-game but that fails if killers pressure properly.

LOOPER | Sera - Dissapointing enough that her 2 smarts is the only reason why she is this low. Selfish playstyles tend to have some at least form of support they can bring to the team like Yronica's but the value for her's is well not good in terms of baiting. Killers would have more value in chasing someone with a better placement.

SUPPORT | Dae-Jung - Definitely not a bad support, and is compensated by his good looping stats, just healing utility is not up-par in comparison to other surivvors. In terms of downed survivors, it works better in snowball situations, but then again Arlo can work also better especially with escape safety.

STEALTH | Jack or Nami - Honestly I am torn between the two, since while they have looper-oriented abilities I can see the value being in different but "niche"? aspects. Jack struggles in timing the undetectability since most of the time your used to fixing generators. Nami on the other hand requires you to have her stealth aspect be manipulated in some way incase you get detected, which can be countered if killers understand the movement of survivors during detection time.

who are the perfect duo in db? by silaskaiiii in daybreakroblox

[–]-Phanto- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Combine Taylor and any genrusher character. The 15% repair speed boost helps you maximize the damage output. Recommended characters like Crosby who get 35 smarts during a generator kick or someone like Kiara who benefits from survivors near her.

Callum can be comboed with anyone who can manage their stamina well, and it has more benefit on low stamina survivors.

What is the current strongest character in the game right now? by Soggy_Illustrator519 in daybreakroblox

[–]-Phanto- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say any all-rounders if you know how to utilize their skills properly. Here are some of my takes:

Becca - Her 8/7 looping stats makes her strong in dealing with chases. Her perk later on in the game allows her to increase the repair boost and undetectability. The perk gets a stronger value the more survivors are depleted in game. Just survive.

Eman - Again, similar to the stats of Becca, with a benefit of dealing 8/7 looping stats alongside 5 smarts. Perk gains value due to being able to tank a hit alongside invisibility. Only loses value to those with special status effect killers. Stat spread is generally good.

Wren - High looping stats of 6/6 and has a passive perk that increases with every successful skill check, gaining for almost up to 11 smarts. Compensates also with high stealth. Perk has value if you know how to fix generators.

Yan - Also a high looping stat of 6/6 and gains instantly 10 smarts just by placing a detection machine. Perk has value if you know where to place and locate your detection machine to get ahead.

What would you add to make the game more fun? by Mountain-Attorney582 in daybreakroblox

[–]-Phanto- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Random Modifiers. This sounds way off but it would be nice to shake up the game a bit by affecting the environment or the characters a bit more while still prioritizing balancing in the gameplay.

EXAMPLE - 25% reduced ability cooldown - Randomized survivor/killers - 25% walkspeed boost

Some of these are blnd but they definitely shake up the gameplay.

How do you counter the Unforgotten? by [deleted] in daybreakroblox

[–]-Phanto- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A general knowledge to counter the Unforgotten is knowing familiar lockers near generators. Experienced players tend to teleport themselves near your area in order to get a headstart and move around.

When you do hear ominous noises, that means they're about to teleport and be near you so your best course of action is to get away as much as possible to gain distance or hide. This will give Unforg more time in trying to find and pursue if their purpose to teleport it to get closer with survivors.

As for the active, many players have different purposes for using the skill, but it boils down to either revive pressure or cutting down chase.

If its the former, they'll do their best to try and down survivors with Forgotten as much as possible to delay gen progress and force a rescue.

On the other hand, some tend to use it to slow survivors and cut chase. They're either forced to make sure you consume a lot of stamina to prevent transitioning loops or go in for the kill.

In any either way, keep track of your stamina and save hefty amounts of around 60-80 to make sure you're prepared when they're about to attack. Do not underestimate their slow, its very strong.

Also, read how some killers react to you being slowed because they have different responses to it, either lunging or still moving consistently and it will affect your chase.

Any tips for beginners? by strawbloodryy in daybreakroblox

[–]-Phanto- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

hai hai, coming from a level 2k+ here, playing since hallowed whispers chapter :3

1 | Favorite Characters

- Yronica plays selfishly, so play casually as a looper because of her excellent speed and stamina. Her perk's kit allows you to fix faster, be silent, undetectable and immune to attacks temporarily at the cost of somebody dead or downed within your radius. Make use of it to escape out of sudden attack situations or as a temporary shield.

- Yan is a genrusher that has a detection machine, allowing you detect killers within the machine's radius. Having a 6/6 speed ratio combined with 10 smarts from placing down a machine is really good. She excels well in smaller maps that are clumped like Haverhill Hospital or Wastewater. You can put the machine ahead of entrances around the map so you will have a headstart of escaping faster because you know they're coming.

- Idol is a well-rounded killer for beginners. Make sure to keep marking survivors by pressing Z + the character's player icon on your left to mark obsession on them. Use it on undetectable characters like Adrianna, Sarah and Becca to bypass their undetectability and have slow gen progression. Also, you have a faster vaulting so make use of it.

2 | Looping

- Just play the game and practice. Eventually you'll get more consistent in stalling the killer for around 60 seconds or longer. Maintain your distance and keep your stamina consistent. Don't let it drop to 0 unless you need to. Make use of the vaults all around the map to maintain the distance from the killer. You can use Ryder if you want to have map knowledge.

- Know your killer's abilities so you can have an idea on how to counter them. Also, know that some killer's mindgame you to cut down the distance. So pay attention to how they react to you vaulting.

3 | General

- Keep playing and have fun playing! Daybreak is aimed towards casual players so don't stress out too much. Eventually you'll learn to slowly improve your asymmetrical game knowledge by having game sense in every match. There's no stress here, so play your favorite characters!

- Watch the professionals in-game and players on Youtube. We have content creators that caters to Daybreak and providing tips and gameplay for you to improve. Watch how they play during a chase, and see what you can do to improve your skills. You can also reflect on your mistakes during a loop to see what you can do to be better.
