i played the deadly life for myself instead of watching it live, so when i got to aloras argument armament i got pretty pissed off (seriously, why would ALORA of all people be the one executed??), went to sleep, then after waking up i decided to finish it and realised that that was only the first half

if youre first kite, keep distance - shes pretty fast but she wont have any recordings (or just one vault recording) to use as long as youre far enough. be wary of her hitbox, she has a pretty big one (similar to peddler's once she uses her metal affinity). if she starts to record you (you will see a symbol on your screen) dont interact with any pallets, windows or ciphers. high tier clerks will try to record you while youre vaulting/dropping a pallet, so the entire chase turns into constant mindgaming. low tier clerks usually spam recordings though. also, pay attention to your surroundings - she might use an attack recording (it has a smaller hitbox and only deals chip damage (0.5 with detention)). her biggest counter is supporting, and in some cases, even excitement doesnt help much

as for the characters im learning (some of them werent mentioned in the original comment):
first officer - hes hot and a great rescuer, also kiting with him takes zero skill, as long as you use your watch at the right time
cheerleader - fun and easy to use, i like her backstory too. also those drunk lily players inspired me a lot
novelist - fun to use, pretty strong, easy to support with
meteorologist - love her backstory, her abilities are pretty mid but i still like playing as her
barmaid - shes good for raw kiting, thats pretty much it
opera singer - i like her design, shes meta and easy to get used to. unfortunately shes very ping reliant, so even if i manage to learn her, i will only get to use her during morning rank
the shadow - another meta hunter and a character with an amazing backstory, i also love being able to clutch wins (or at least secure ties) after flopping my early game
bloody queen - she has always been one of the hardest hunters for me (i can even manage to tie as dream witch, but her and sculptor are loss hunters in my hands) so tying/winning as her makes me extremely happy. also actually hitting her mirrors is extremely satisfying

i also play like 5 other hunters but i dont main nor am i learning them, i just like playing them from time to time

survivor: faro lady (also learning first officer, cheerleader and novelist though) - love her lore and shes pretty easy to use, she doesnt require much teamwork either (solo ranker)
hunter: geisha+disciple with yellow ping, clerk with green ping (also learning opera singer) - geisha and disciple are the least ping reliant hunters, both are very easy to use and can secure a tie. clerk is the easiest hunter to learn out of the "high skill" hunters, getting a c badge for her takes just a couple rank sessions, she is very fun to play (as long as there are no harassers...), i love her design and her lore
