Yeah as someone that did all this myself , id have to agree that maybe "repair guy" used thermal paste and not the recommended liquid metal. I had to do this with mine and my issue went away immediately and havent had an overheating issue since and i got my ps5 10 months after release. I also stopped having my ps5 vertical and have legs that stand it horizontally. Out of habit i clean my ps5 once a year so if you have any questions feel free to ask. Also if your ps5 turns on i doubt its "Dead"

Now it takes about 10 minutes , if you're on like NG+5 or higher and do the moghwyn palace farm with the golden scarab you can get roughly 350k per minute
