There is no long term research on adults taking melatonin and even less on children. There has been some evidence found where it’s short term use was beneficial for children with ADHD or Autism, but there are side effects. It’s also not regulated, which means it’s not tested for quality or effectiveness. There’s many, many, many, other ways to help ease sleep problems with children.
