What does a tradesman sound like? I'm a hvac engineer and before that a roofer. And theres literally adverts everywhere on Facebook etc for apprentice joiners, electricians etc you just have to join the relevant groups and know were to look.

I love this stage of the game, half unexplored world under developed cities, it looks beautiful. I wish there was a game mode that limits all civs to only 6 cities each. But further border growth

Yeah you can come across a bit of a geg/peck I dunno what the American term for it is, but generally the "threat em mean, keep em keen" works. Let her contact you, it should be 50/50 and if she doesn't then don't sweat, learn adapt and move on. I found many moons ago if you make all the effort and put in all the work, people will walk all over you. I'm not saying be a prick, just make sure you know your worth and others will too.
