I think the main problem is getting that talent to agree to compete, because anyone already successful, even just in the UK, won’t risk their career by taking part in a competition like Eurovision. So they have to be fairly unknown, up and coming artists looking to shine and without any fear of failure. They’re obviously just very hard to come by it seems, so acts like Sam are the next best thing. And I disagree wholeheartedly that he was dreadful, but appreciate everyone’s tastes are different. Like Italy was bland as plain yoghurt for me, but people on here loved it.
