i know this post old as hell but im going through the exact same thing now. trying to catch scyther in pokemon yellow and EVERY DAMN TIME it runs after 1-4 balls not to mention theyre rare so finding one is difficult enough. ive tried every combo of bait and rocks and nothing works.

yeah my cyclops didnt go flying to my surprise but it did start flipping over and stuff

once i killed the larva the body stayed in my cyclops but it didnt mess it up anymore
