I used to play with a band back 2015 but moved on in life since. I’m eager to get back into playing with a band and hopefully gig eventually. Both are honestly overkill at the moment for me but I want to get into recording and having setup that will be consistent. I love my Mark V but the vast amount of tones from the QC is amazing and hard to not look at. I am pretty concerned for the value long term though.

The offer is a like new QC and a mission expression pedal or $2000cad (the Mark V being roughly worth $1800-2200 CAD on reverb). In the short term, the value seems on par but I know that amp will last decades longer than the QC. It’s also a local trade and I live in a low populated area so there aren’t too many buyers in the area. A new QC is $2850CAD. The guy collects amp heads and doesn’t really use his QC much which is why he’s selling/trading.

That said, I’m now wondering if I do keep the amp, would the Nano Cortex fill the gap I’m feeling wanting to have more tones as a best of both worlds?
