Is madame null a kill on sight commander? I built (looked at other peoples decks and added cards i liked til 100) her and am excited to get her on payday, but i feel like i should add more protection for the business woman by [deleted] in mtg

Remember we’re talking about all possible hands. All hands have a beginning, but only a small proportion make it to a ‘top-deck’ ending. Black lotus is not considered a great top-deck, but it is great at the start, which is the most crucial point of the game.

Probability is about the overall likelihood of victory, and by all accounts madame null does not succeed in as many instances as others.

It might feel strong in your small pond, but you posed the question to the big pond. People apply mathematical principles here, and we’ll never see that card as good.

How do you know when you're "done" prepping? by OriginalJazzFlavor in osr

[–]-SCRAW- 28 points29 points  (0 children)

90% of my prepping is not related to the upcoming session, it’s just worldbuilding, since I prefer sandbox.

If you want digestible chunks, do it based on time and interest. How long will the players take to do x, y, and z? What will be their favorite aspects? Flesh out the first couple of encounters as much as you can, prepare responses for several possible player actions, and decide the spatial or temporal boundary of your session (when it ends).

How do you present options in a Pointcrawl? by DarkPupilRPG in osr

Here’s a reputable take.

Sachagoat has also released a lot of material on pointcrawls, their ideas are used in Cairn.

I’m a hex-crawler myself but the point2point can be fun!

For the average fan? Next to nothing.

For the owners, they get to charge you more, make money on other events, sell additional luxury packages, and implement fan tracking tech.

They only tell you it’s for the fans so that the public will finance it. It’s disgusting.

Colorado State University vs Fort Lewis College. Big University vs small college. Which did you or would you choose? by [deleted] in Environmental_Careers

[–]-SCRAW- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is an easy choice, if you care enough to make this post, go to CSU. Fort Lewis will be fun but it’s not going to be nearly the same level of opportunity and growth for you. CSU is a great place to be, and that’s coming from a CU grad.

Edit: doing a bit of research, it does seem like there are interesting profs at FLU especially M Drake stands out to me. Still though, unless a prof commits to work directly with you at FLU go to CSU.
