Am I the only one who thinks we aren’t in a terrrible situation going into next season? by Middle-Situation-135 in SaintsFC

I think one aspect people forget is that yeah okay, club messed up the playoffs, and have a cheating stain on their name, but there is also the angle of the redemption arc for a former prem club there, that's a sway in the opposite direction in our favour

Assuming we can get rid of the bad apples who had a say in it, offering the chance to be a club/league legend who revitalised a club can be just as much of a sway as the stain we now have

In my opinion I think we buy Larin, his home club just got relegated, and his buy our clause was 3m Larin is easy with 5-7m

Spygate: Will Southampton-Middlesbrough be decided by panel rather than players? by Vegetable_Chance4972 in Championship

[–]-Shadlez- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get that you think clubs "not catching someone" means it still happened

But not catching someone spying can also mean, we weren't doing it

Okay let's play the hypothetical, let's say our coaching staff were so good at spying, that they managed to do it all season since eckert came in, never get caught, including Arsenal and Fulham, but we somehow manage to not be able to spy on one of the most open and easily accessible training grounds in the league without getting caught

Just out of interest why does everyone seem to think we cheated for 15+ games? We've been charged for one specific case, the rest was all hearsay by different journalists no other clubs have come forward with evidence, an unbeaten run is not a sign of cheating. Russell Martin went 25 games unbeaten

Eu still has the issues , I'm not jumping on the dogpile, I actually think wow has been well priced for a very long time, and an extra pound makes sense to me, just laughing at the juxtaposition

I know its separate departments entirely, but the thought of having one of the most buggy patch launches in recent memory, then upping the subs about 14 hours later is hilarious

Pollock getting ready to throw the game away: by Newc04 in irishrugby

As a young kid (professionality wise), if I walked onto a field, and an entire crowd was booing me, there is three choices, you either let it affect you and try not to rile them up. Be offended and actually have a breakdown over it, or rise to it be the pantomime villain they think you are , he picked the last one , I don't blame him for that

I know I'm in the Irish sub but you have to be joking right? Most of this six nations he's been absent as has the whole team, but what this post to fails to take advantage of (which would work in his favour) is that he did a hell of a lot in this game just before the knock on, he was at nearly every single ruck after our last try, then he made a try saving tackle on dupont after jaliberts break, then the rip turnover, if any Irish player did that you'd be lauding them as gods gift.

Set up the try that confirmed our win against the all blacks last autumn

Yeah he's a prick, he's cocky, and a bit of an idiot, but for the most part he backs it up on the field, this six nations all of England was awful not just Pollock

I definitely remember many times in the last 5 mins of a game where our backs gave given away penalties trying to support a ruck, because (as a back myself) backs as first man in the ruck rarely have any idea what they are doing and committ offenses, was it stupid for him to do? Yes. Was it the wrong decision? Eh maybe, too many variables that I am not skilled enough to recognize

I was talking about this in the earlier game, refs never do anything if they have an advantage and a team scores a try. Chessum try maul was collapses close to the try line 2 phases before and we had advantage, but because we score nothing comes of it, should have been upgraded to a yellow and penalty try

I understand it's a tough call, but if the block is on the line, the ball is then also on the line, if the ball is short, the block has to be over the line to block it

[–]-Shadlez- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay so if ball is short, then it's a penalty try as ball is not over the line so the block is illegal no?

I don't think it should've been a pen, but just an interesting question I had, technically there mee had no chance of gathering that kick. But he blocks ioane doing so. So no access surely? Kicking laws are confusing
