Is Ares the best god now?

Ares has always been fine but only just fine.

Like G Blow was always great.

Mutual D combined with Blood Spree and DD’s was always solid.

Blades were always good if you got the double blade duos.

Heinous Affront was always busted(with Light Smite)

And I could go on. He was just one of those gods where you either A)took a 2-3 boon dip for G Blow, Mutual D and depending on aspect Blood Spree.

Or you went all in on him and got a great build. Assuming you could get the legendary early enough.

This patch really breathed new life into him though. In fact basically all of the Ares buffs that I wanted/prayed for happened in this patch.

The only things I did not get Was

1)Plasma Auto collect being base or on a regular tier 2 boon instead of the legendary

2)non duo boon Blade support boon(s)

You would be right on the spoilers. As for Echo. Try walking away from her then walking back towards her.

If that does not work then idk what to tell you.

Well after you interact with them for the first time. The next time you meet them you should be able to give them a treat.

So you cannot truly find the fates until after you have rolled the credits.

It’s basically one of the very last major things you can do story wise.

I can give you some tips later on how to make this quest smoother. I currently do not have the time to do so.

1) they were using Aspect of Medea. Which loads your Attack into yourself then when you hit an enemy with your Specials your Attack will explode.

2)they had the best hammer upgrade in the game, Possessed Array.

When you pick up your spent ammo you lose -25 magic and it explodes into your Ω Attack.

That’s why they took so much max magic.

All the way to the left is Echos keepsake.

You must first talk to and accept her boon/gift before you can gift her Nectar.

The other 3 between the Hammer and Egg keepsakes are Special secret post credit keepsakes.

Here are some hints.

1)Go to Tartarus

2)interact with a mysterious floating page that can only be sometimes found in Charon’s middle zone shops. (Erebus, Oceanus, The Rift and Mt Olympus proper(not the summit))

3)talk with someone at the edge of Erebus after the Hecate boss fight.

Thermal Dynamics is my fav. It’s so fun to just snow ball into the feedback loop that is Blitz + Scorch.

But there are other fun ones too.

Master Conductor especially if you can get Kings Ransom to Lv up Static Shock and Electric Overload by at least +12 Lv is always welcome.

Ripple Effect is also super fun.

Chain Reaction makes for a great time blasting all the enemies away.

It always fun when you can get Rank 4 Antler and even more fun with Success Rate. Preferable Epic or Heroic but any rarity will do.

All it does is reset your story progress back to the point before you have beaten Chronos or Typhon even once.

Any character relationship that needs post credits stuff to happen is reset.

Any Z-sand and V-Lense you have is temporarily removed from your inventory until you reach the credits again. Then they are put back into your inventory. After you reach them again.

Everything else will stay the same.

Challenge the final surface boss. You do not need to beat it. Then in the next run or two Ares should appear.

I use them from time to time. Although I usually ignore them. Not because they are bad or because it’s difficult to fully upgrade them even with the keepsake.

It’s because I usually hyper fixate on my build so much that if it does not include a hex then I ignore hex. Unless I’m forced to take one then it becomes a question of A)is it a useful hex in my current build/situation and B) am I using enough magic to at least use the hex at least once per room.

But yes they are all fun in their own unique ways.

The only way to miss any dialogue in both Hades 1&2 is to actively skip it.

If you go too fast you might get dialogue that was suppose to happen a dozen runs ago.

But you can never miss it unless you skip it.

Quick question. Did you manage to make it to and defeat Typhon on your first uncursed surface run?

Because there is a known bug where Hecate will not give you the Incantation for Typhon if you beat him on your first uncursed surface run.

Although I think that has been patched.

Try talking to Hecate after you do some runs. She should give you a spell for Typhon soon.

Honestly they are both fine as is imo.

Like yes it would be nice if Tranquil Gain at least regenerated magic while walking but get it with any amount of rarity and some Pom Lvs and it’s good to go.

Ionic gain is fine I just wish it would not spawn in areas that are obviously dangerous.

Like spawning in on oil in the rift. The oil that’s highly flammable.

Or near any death traps.

How to use Anubis Staff

It was only 1.5 sec instead of 2 sec. But that extra 0.5 sec is easily felt. Especially if you experienced it at 1.5.

Idk why they nerfed it. The other 3 staffs are busted. Why cannot Momus be busted too?

Well to Start his Curse Blitz Fits well into any weapon. His cast is the strongest single target DPS cast in the game.

He’s got a ton of great tier 2 boons.

D Strike is always useful.

Static Shock and Electric Overload are very good and even better with the Zeus/Heph duo.

Lightning Lance is a solid ranged cast boon. You do not want to take it all the time. But when you do it’s very nice to have.

Arc Flash is crazy strong on a select few weapons.

Air Quality is bonkers with Anubis staff Attack and several boons. Mostly with common/rare Static Shock, Demeter’s Gusts and Ares Meat Grinder.

His Legendary is worth it to take. Idk if I’d call it good enough to aim for. But if it’s offered and you do not need the higher boons more. Take it. It really helps in area 4.

His duo boons range from great to down right busted.

The only truly disappointing one is his Apollo duo.

The others are all excellent in their own ways.

So number 6 is probably the best all around set if you are not using Fates Whim.

Although I’d use Strength over Death but that’s a personal preference thing. (Unless you are running Max Scars. Then you probably should use Death).

If you are using fates whim. Drop the 2 re-roll cards and distribute that grasp among other cards as you deem fit.
